You think Pickens magically changed his mind because Johnson is gone? That's silly.

I have read other reports that the deal was done until the Broncos said no to trading Sutton for a third, not anything Aiyuk said.

Better yet, use Austin. Let the fast, elusive guy make something happen. Hell, get something out of him.

those other reports were out awhile ago regarding the Broncos involvement. Both things can be true. The recent report was probably just SF reaching a breaking point and jumping on the phone with the Steelers and working on hashing out the last aspects of a deal. I don’t think Pickens magically changed his mind. I think Pickens is a young man who can be easily influenced by his surroundings just like most young men can. Why not remove the bad element in the room who is the lesser of two when ti comes to talent and try to cultivate the better talent into what you envision him to be? Not to mention Pickens has a new WR coach, New OC coach and new wr’s around him. Alot of different and hopefully positive influencers in the room now. A big issue with that room last year in particular was there was no accountability which stemmed from lack of leadership in the room, poor coaching from the WR coach and the OC and that negativity permeated over too the rest of the locker room to the extent Minkah and DJ got into a fight. The Steelers did the smart thing and got rid of the Wr coach, the OC and the main culprit in all of it in DJ.

I thought on the bubble screen to Jefferson that had Austin blocking that it should have been the opposite.

I see the logic in getting rid of Johnson, but that isn't enough to fix the issues with Pickens.

The Steelers have tried that logic before. One reason they let Plaxico Burress go was supposedly that they were afraid he was a bad influence on Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger continued to behave like a jackass for a while after Burress was gone. The same is true of getting LeGarrette Blount away from Le'Veon Bell. Did that work?

I agree, but Jefferson also can't block worth a damn. Maybe they will have to abandon the bubble screens with a group of receivers that can't or won't block.

I didn’t here that one about Plaxico, interesting. I think with Dj it was at a much bigger level. It wasn’t just about Pickens. DJ was a disruption in the locker room. He was fighting with other players and coaches. When you start undermining the coaches you really leave the team with little options but to move you.

He punched Trubiscky? Thats a new one, never heard that. I know he got into it with Minkah. I think he also had issues with the WR coach. Don’t know if there was conflict with Canada but I am sure all the players had issues with Canada.

Well I said in a earlier comment. If it was true.
Although people do lie. They said Ochocinco didn't punch anyone at halftime during a game with us, and years later it came out that he did. So unless we are actually there.....who knows, but that's why I said earlier.....if it's true.

Of course it's Tomlins fault. LoL....., but they do lie about things that do, and don't happen. Remember the Ochocinco fight that happened during a game against us at half.....their press came out with it never happened.....yet years later different members of that team said it actually did. ...., but like I told @jeh1856@jeh1856
    If it was true....big if.
