I was trying not to go there politics n’ at

 

i know.....but it correlates

sure - very few of us are NFL insiders, ex coaches, etc.

but many of have played the game since childhood, studied and watched incessantly since sucking pacifiers (and now in their 50's , 60' 70's), and have opinions on what is right and what is wrong with their team.

 

I can assure you there are 31 sets of fans that are disappointed, it’s the nature of sports. If you think we have it bad, what must the Bills, Bengals, Ravens, Cowboys, Chargers fans be thinking. They have their guy and can’t get it done. SF is the ultimate bridesmaid. The next decade is going through KC unless another QB drops. Should they all hire Mike Vrabel too?

But it’s not always about winning a SB or else. We haven’t won a playoff game in 7 years and the way this offense looks going into the season I would be oh so inclined to say it will be 8. On top of that we have won 3 playoff games in 13 years so yes frustration has completely set in. We haven’t been an actual contender since 2010. The BG fanboys on here ***** and moan about repetitive posts so why doesn’t the team do a godamn thing about it??? Apparently ownership is happy with this mediocrity BS because they keep running the same trash out year after year.

 

Problem of the steelers is because they are stuck in the middle in the last 5 years at least and they had a pathetic offense in the last 3 years and they keep Matt Canada in 2023 who was a all-time bad decision...I hope it will change this year,we will see.....But the chiefs are not one of the problems for the steelers right now....The pats with Brady were also not one of the problem of the steelers after 2010 since they face the pats only once during that time in the playoffs(The ravens face the pats 4 times in the playoffs between 2009 to 2014(all in foxboro) and they beat them twice) .The steelers could not beat the Broncos with Tebow and the jaguars.....

 

The Steeler culture is winning super bowls. It’s not divisions or conferences. If you’re a Steeler fans you would know that. You think anyone was happy in 2010 or 1996? Hell no! I’d rather miss the playoffs than lose the SB.

Well you must be REAL disappointed with a team that can’t even win a playoff game if you “true” Steeler fans are SB or bust. I’m sorry I guess only optimistic delusional Steeler fans are the “real” ones. Got it.

 

I was very happy of the season in 2004 and 2010...I know only one team can win the super bowl per year....The problem,the steelers are one of the 8-9 teams without a playoffs win since 2017....They have not been competitive in the playoffs

See it’s not that hard to figure out. 2nd is the first loser. What exactly does winning a playoff game do except move you down in the draft? The game is about championships, not stats, not MVP’s, not Pro Bowls. If he had won 10 playoff games in the last 6-7 years, you would be saying he can’t get it done, he sucks. Nothing less than a championship will ever satisfy Steeler fans. Do you think the 90’s Bills were happy to have won 8 playoff games in four years and losing 4 SB’s? Most would tell you they wish they had never gone that many times and not won. It’s a stain you can’t erase.

 

I understand the ultimate goal is a SB but watching exciting playoff games and making runs is far better than the crap we have been stuck in. We don’t even compete in big games the **** is over before halftime.

 

Do you really think Mason was going into Buffalo and beat Josh Allen in the playoffs? Mason could not win that game, everyone knew that.

That's only because that's what You hang You hat on. If we won a playoff game. Then it would be .....we can't win two, and then we can't win a SB. Again while we make the playoffs way more than we don't, and we win way more than we don't. You don't fire the HC. You go a few years without making the playoffs in a row.....then fire the HCs.
I repeat this till I'm blue in the face.
1. You win enough games to make the playoffs
2. You win enough games to make the SB
3. You win a SB. There is no in between. Those 3 things. When we start not making the 1st one in a row....then I'm all for get rid of the HC.

Almost half of the NFL is making the playoffs now....Thank god the NFL has expanded the playoffs,otherwise the steelers would have made the playoffs only once since 2018.....They were on the scoreboard watching in the final week in each of the last 3 years too...It would be fun if we could at least have control of our destiny in the final week....And the odds of winning a playoff game as the 7th seed are very low....I mean,the teams are 1-8 in the playoffs as the 7th seed....I am not happy with the mediocrity but good for you if you are fine that the standard is more lower now

 

If only it was just that game man.
