Players want to come play for the Steelers because it's a country club. No pressure to excel. If they want to get a ring, they will go to another team.

Man, some of you cats might wanna go ahead and wait until the season gets at least a few games in before you jump off a bridge.
Any time I want to kill a modicum of optimism, all I have to do is read a few posts around here.

I agree with you! I would say it is all magnified by the echo chamber that a few people live in. They get each other worked up - lol.

I get it, people aren’t happy with the coaches or ownership. Neither am I, but you don’t need to post it in every single thread.

You do realize the Raiders are in Vegas now, right? And the Charger game is in Pgh? But feel free to drop in out here in LaLa land - I know we have several MB folks out this way. We'll even try to schedule a 6.0 for you, just for sh*ts and giggles.

Do the Rooneys own a booze factory cause all tomlin seems to be good at is causing the fans to drink more , though honestly , glad it has the fans praying a lot more too.

I 100% would still watch. We'd have to be openly tanking for me to consider not watching.. This team is going to be a far cry from 0-17.

Imagine watching Steelers football for the last 20 years and not seeing a SINGLE losing season.... then at the first sign of distress bail on the team. This year's team hasn't even played a real game yet haha Like... could you be a fan of ANY franchise? At all?

I guess technically you could just hop on the winning train right? Get yourself that Brady jersey in the 2000's, then swap it for a Mahomes one. People these days... lmao

Statue Mason wasn't going to be doing anything with the amount of time (or lack thereof) Wilson and Fields have had the past two preseason games. We will need to see multiple weeks of "Kenny ball" for me to start pining for anyone that isn't on this roster.

And no. Tomlin won't admit he made a mistake when his new QB's have played a grand total of 0 games as a Steeler. None.

I always hope the steelers win and nothing will change that....But sometimes, for the sake of my health when things aren't going well, it's better for me to ignore it for a bit and take a little break.

    The new "Standard"

Thank you Coach Mike Tomlin for setting the bar low and keeping it there. I keep hoping another GM drinks the kool-aid and trades for Tomlin. Hopefully an AFC North team so we can get two automatic wins every year.

After Saturdays showing you still had a modicum??? Bravo.

I’ve noticed over the years that you tend to often Bo on the more optimistic end of things. Wish I had that gene.

Don't get me wrong, I'm like everyone else in that I have my share of issues with this team. I just think the negative Nelly shtick would have to get old after a while. For the life of me, I can't see why anyone would let something like the game of football make them so miserable. Especially something completely out of your control. If the team was as bad as some make it out to be, why wouldn't you just stop watching and come back when they are good? Or for that matter, switch teams. I would be more worried about my mental health than whether people thought I was a "good fan" or not.

You can be miserable about the crappy Pittsburgh sports teams and happy with other things in your life. It’s not one in the same it’s just a part of the whole pie. Like I have said naturally some humans tend to be more optimistic while others more pessimistic.

Without getting overly philosophical, I don't know if I necessarily agree with you. Being miserable about anything in your life can bleed into other areas. It would be one thing if negative or critical comments were here and there but from some of you, it's constant and insufferable blathering on and on about how every single aspect of the team is utter crap.

I'm of the opinion that some of you do it just to stir sh!t up.

Let’s agree to disagree. I definitely am not trying to stir anything up but will defend my viewpoints and most times with facts.

We have two new QB’s this year as well as a new Coordinator. The line has had a lot of moving parts and rookies. Relax and take a breath. Most of the same people on here swore an oath to stop watching after the Chicago National Anthem deal 4 years ago. Then they started Burning jerseys and taking their mother and sisters out and beating them in touch football to show they could run the team better. If you think we are pissed, go up to a bar in Buffalo. Pat MaHomes is their Tom Brady.

There will come a time when this team gets back to prominence. Hell, for all we know a miracle happens and they make a crazy run this year. When that does happen, expect all of your "viewpoints and facts" to be thrown back in your face.
