Instead of starting a thread for every note worthy person who has departed you can put it here.

Bob Newhart. Age 94. He won. Loved his deadpan humor. I think his last thing was The Big Bang. Just a few episodes.

 

RIP. It was the last thing I ever seen him on.

 

Bob Newhart was a favorite of mine. Always will be. R.I.P.

 

Ms. "Shining/Olive Oil" Duvall passed at 75. Strange looking but a good actress. RIP

 

Popeye with Robin Williams? I think. RIP. Yep, odd looking.

 

Have to give an RIP to that sexy mama, Dr. Ruth. She passed at 96 on July 12th. I'd have hated being her husband.

 

R.I.P. to Shannen Doherty. Much too young. Cancer SUCKS!

 

RIP to Mr Torn and Mr Van Winkle.

 

I actually always thought she was sexy in her own strange way.

That's a hard sell for me but at my age any female under 50 is a gem

 

Are you saying that age widens the spectrum, so to speak?

 

When I was a young man I was sitting at a bus stop with an older man and a female walked by. He gave a little nod to me like check that out. After she passed I said to him she was nothing special and he told me something I understand now. The older we get the better they look and I certainly get that now.

 

Then this won't bother you much.................

 

I feel I need to change my stance on this after that photo.

 

Abraham Lincoln. He was basically one of the presidents of the United States. Shot by the coward John Wilkes Booth in an IMAX movie theater. This was awhile ago though.

 

James B Sikking. I never watched Doogie Howser but, I liked him on Hill street Blues!

RIP John Mayall - "Godfather" of British Blues/Rock died at 90. He was already in his mid 30's when so many of the teen and 20 year old future Brit guitar greats were just surfacing. Dude was so influential on the British blues music scene as inspiration and influencer on so many Rockers from across the pond. Well done Sir!

I know, me too. Even crazier - he is/was 1 year older than Elvis would be now. I knew that he was the basis of the very early Peter Green led Fleetwood Mac members but unaware of his age. And on that note, here's a live 1970 version of Peter Green's - Green Manalishi in a rare moment when they essentially had 3 lead guitarists - Green, Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwin. Vocals are weak on this tape but it's a unique stage setting for this multi-composition/chaptered group.

 

Me too. (not the movement) He made it into the Rock and Roll HOF before he passed. I'm convinced even you may make into the HOF. They seem to take everybody

 

Even people that decline their offer.

 

Looks like she made it in.
