I love all of the Pundits picking the Steelers to have a losing season. This is the year of redemption.

I feel like we are going to have one pissed off team to start this season.

    1. Arthur Smith - Wants to prove himself against the naysayers.
    2. Russell Wilson - Guy has a ton of naysayers and people rooting against him. This is his best chance to prove otherwise.
    3. Najee Harris - 5th year option denied. Enough said.
    4. George Pickens - Nobody thinks he can be a number one.
    5. TJ Watt - Denied the DPOY. Can’t win a Playoff game.
    6. Cam Heyward - Old and washed up and playing for an extension.
    7. Friermuth - Hasn’t reached potential and playing for an extension.
    8. Tomlin - Contract year and hasn’t won a Playoff game in how many years. Now the schedule as if the NFL wants us to fail. I think this is going to piss off Tomlin and he will utilizer all of this to motivate the team.
    9. Cam Sutton - If we sign him you know he wants to prove himself again.
    10. Minkah - Coming off his worst season.
    11. Rediculous schedule - You know this will have us laser focused and the whole team feels like the cards are stacked against us.
    12. Queen - Can he play without Roquon Smith?

This season just has a different energy, a different urgency about it this year. I know we have a hard schedule but I am hopeful that will contribute to a hunger, hardness and an urgency on this team we haven’t seen in a while.

Leveon Bell lost weight and transformed himself. I’m not saying Najee is Leveon they are different backs but if our wide zone blocking improves and Najee can gain a step with the lost weight then I will be a lot more confident going into this season.

Can we stop with Cam Sutton? We don’t need that.

Agreed, lot of players including the coach, have alot to play for. This is an all or nothing year. If we (they) fail to achieve anything significant, expect major changes, QB, coach, in 2025

If Tomlin signs an extension before the season, then he will most likely be the HC in 2025.

Every year should be played as a must win year but tomlins play to not have a losing season has become M.O. A major change in the coaching attitude has to be made.

    1. If he ever wants to be a HC, this is a must improve season for him.
    2. I am crossing fingers that he self motivates to a high level because of the teams kicking him to the side.
    3. There is a rumor running around that Najee requested no 5th year option. His agent denied the rumor.....but rumors come from somewhere.
    4. If he can mature, he has the skills to be great.
    5. Head scratcher of a decision. Make up stats to achieve a desired result. I feel like politicians were involved.
    6. Hard to say. I think that he has a plan and wants those extra 2 years to achieve it. But can his body make it? It is a business and the Steelers have shown in the past that they will let big names go if they don't perform. Without a great year, I think he will retire or be traded next year. Any fall off compared to last year is going to look bad on a chart projecting future performance given his age. I like him and hope that he has a great year. He is an iconic Steeler and I would like to see him get to retire as a Steeler.
    7. Grossly underutilized over the past couple of years IMO. Big fail by Canada. Hope for better.
    8. He has a tough schedule. No difference between playing to win and playing to not have a losing season this year. He needs to be 110% on every game. Wins won't come easy.
    9. Or he might coast and just depend on his skill rather than giving it everything.
    10. Massive respect for Minkah. Without him we sucked in the secondary. I really hope that he has more production for us and that we are not seeing the cycle of playing a few games and out for a few games for an injury.
    11. I actually think that anyone who is paying attention to this might be a bit disheartened by it. I don't see it as a motivator.
    12. No clue. :)

It really is time to put up or shut up. Many people need to grasp this thought.
Barring injury our roster has improved over the last few years still nothing to
    show for it.

No he didn’t look good as an outsider corner playing man coverage vs guys like Mike Evans, Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel. He wasn’t playing the nickel. He was playing outside, often left on an island vs. some of the best receivers in the league. I’m not talking about using him the way that Detroit used him.

Steelers are better underneath the radar.... but they are not underneath the radar because of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. The sports media won't be ignoring them this year.

Being under the radar is different than not getting attention from the media. You can still be under the raar and get alot of national attention because you have signed high profile players etc. I believe that is exactly what we will be. Alot of attention but alot of people not believing in us because of our schedule and the lack of respect for Wilson etc.

Tomlin isn’t gong anywhere. If they see positive improvement even if we don’t win a playoff game or make it to the playoffs then I can see them extending Tomlin. They need to let the offense percolate and develop as well as the players.

This thinking is getting old, results matter . As coach T says we are in the
    Business of winning.

That's on the Lions coaching staff for putting him in that position.

I was down on Tomlin last year but with all the new pieces in place I think you need to see how this turns out. If it really implodes then I could change my mind. There are still some things I do not like about Tomlin. He is slow to change, he is bad with clock management and I don’t like how he builds the defensive line relative to defending the run game. I don’t like how he gives the players too much leeway to the extent some of them act their way off the team. But you take the bad with the good. He seems to get the most of the talent he has. He attracts free agents. He knows how to evaluate talent relative to the system. He coaches guys up. He wins more than he loses. Lets see how he does with a better OC and QB leading the team.

We may have been cursed. Part of article:

"NFL analyst and former No. 1 overall pick Ryan Leaf was on Up & Adams and told Kay Adams he believes Wilson still has a Super Bowl champion quarterback in him and to watch out for the Steelers."
