I'm liking this option potentially as there is a good bit of depth at needed positions.

I hope Khan pulls some magic, but I have no problem with a trade down if they can land help at C, WR, OT, CB, and maybe even QB if one is there worth taking a shot on.

QB appears to be the hardest position to successfully evaluate

right behind them are philly, miami, dallas that could all use a center. thaat would possibly hand those teams any of the ones we want and leave us out at that position until later. not saying they will take a center but there is a good chance of it. i'd stay put and get the guy we want.

I have a bad feeling about assuming we will be able to trade back in 1st or up in 2nd to land the Center.

I would take the Center at 20 unless they are thinking there are too many guys that are better than every Center project.

Is it crazy to just resign Mason Cole to hedge our bets, in case we don't land any of the top Centers on the draft? I don't think Herbig can do it for a whole year.

I know what you mean, I saw a mock on the NFL Network this morning that had Barton, JPJ and Frazier all gone by pick #23. If that happens on Thursday and the Steelers don't take a center at #20 then they are up the creek without a paddle.

There is pretty much 0 percent that all 3 are gone by 23, as none of these guys are Pouncey level prospects. I'd be shocked if more than one went in the first 35 picks. Shoot, even Creed Humphery was pick 63.... I think we're fine. If we get nervous, we can trade up in round 2. Unless we LOVE Barton, I expect us to go a different route in round 1
