Maybe we go back to the Georgia pool and draft Ladd McConkey on day 2!

A versatile Offensive Lineman from the University of Duke. He has Center experience but that dates back to his Freshman Season. However, among the First Round options remaining... he remains the last best bet. March 28th is gonna be very telling for I didnt have much hope heading into today that the team would travel out West to see Jackson Powers Johnson.

Duke is much closer than Oregon but that still isnt that favorable. For that matter, Pittsburgh has not selected a Duke Player since Chris Combs (a Defensive End) back in 2000.

They can easily get a good receiver in round two or three. Center should still be the higher priority, especially since they already missed out on most of the viable starters who were free agents.

    Maybe?!

That would require a trade up for he is as good as good in the top half of the second round. That said though, unless this team nabs an OT or Graham Barton in Round 1, WR is a shoe in to be the first pick for the team.

They need to sign a free-agent receiver. They are perilously thin there now.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot, but with these things you have to judge them in the round which means who we bring into replace him in FA (can they provide similair value/production for less?) and what that pick turns into.

Some people are impatient and greatly over exaggerate. And on top of it the make stuff up.

That tells you what teams thought about Johnson. Quitting on plays doesn’t look good on your resume. Claypool fetched a 2nd.

    Donte is solid.

I agree, but I also agree with what Saunders wrote. I think the Steelers didn't get as much as they gave. Of course, Johnson didn't help his value any last season.

Our WR room is puke now. Almost ruins the Queen signing. Almost.

I’m sure OK is working on that as we speak.

As for DJ, plenty of ability but never reached the pinnacle of his potential. I’m never sad to se a me first, low effort guy get traded. Hopefully this will be somewhat of a wake-up call for GP.

But we literally have Pickens and Calvin Austin III who I think caught 4 passes last season

Something about getting WRs excites me.
Getting rid of a player that drops passes, runs backwards, pouts, and quits on plays excites me more.

.. hmm... hold the phone... now that I think about it, the Steelers have met with as nearly as much CBs as they have with WRs. Assuming they do sign Tyler Boyd to the team, this would mean that CB would be in the drivers seat; OT still a major possibility as well.... or rather Amarius Mims...

    Hey @S.T.D!!

Your wish just might come true after all. Donte Jackson trade or not, this team still needs an Outside CB. March 14th is Clemsons Pro Day but dont forget March 18th for Iowas either. I still havent given up on Cooper DeJean myself either.

Maybe next year the Steelers will make all their cuts, all their free agent signings, the draft, extensions, trades, coaching changes, etc. all at the same time and announce it as one big package?
That way the anxiety crowd can rest easy.
Anyone overly complaining about holes on the team at this point of the offseason are acting ridiculous.

I just wish I could enjoy 1 day. Was so pumped about Queen but now we have the worst WR room in the NFL. Let’s see what they do but they would need a big signing or first rd pick to fix this.

Or a QB that can't get preseason snaps, but their is still the possibility of the 6th round long snapper. No, I think the Steelers have learned their lesson on that one.

Fantastic. I am so happy we got a starting CB and got rid of a disgruntled WR who was a poor fit for the new offense. Khan is doing an excellent job.
