The only qb that looks safe is Trevor Lawrence

What a dreadful QB class that was.

    Indeed.

Let this is a lesson for teams in 2024. Too many warning signs imo; Caleb being the obvious flashpoint. Unimaginable talent and potential combined with a Franchise who's track record is abysmal when it comes to developing QBs....

    Sound familiar?! :hmm:

    ...... For now.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Jaguars elected Trevor to play out his fifth year option.

Trevor Lawrence is a lot like Justin Herbert. Both of them have rare arm talent that should make them elite QB's in the league but when the bright lights come on in crunch time both of them fold up like a cheap tent.

Except in Herbert's case... he was working with a basket case of a HC in Brandon Staley who was in over his head.... and I mean way over. Granted, Herbert's own second half performances haven't helped matters either but Herbert is by far and away the better of the two.

Lawrence was supposed to take that next big leap this past season. He was well on his way... but then got injured. We shall see what 2024 brings but call me, his biggest supporter on this site, cautiously optimistic.

I think he can still be a franchise QB, but even his won loss % makes you say ouch, that of course comes with the crapshow they had with the former HC.

That isnt even the worst of it.

One is on his way out in Daniel Jones. As for Trevor, I doubt bringing in Mac Jones waa to signal a competiton but I dont doubt that Doug Pederson will opt for someone else should Lawrences penchant for turning over thr football continue.

This qb draft here in 24 has the potential to either be the greatest or the biggest bust in NFL history

One thing is for certain. One cannot say the worst teams picking these QBs didn't do all they could to maximize their success early; doubly so on Chicago's part. Chicago, for that matter, arguably had the best Offseason of any NFL Team when factoring in their Free Agency period.

Their handling of Justin Fields is still a black mark but everything else by Ryan Poles in 2024 has been nothing short of stellar.

The 2021 draft was awful at the QB position....But the 2020 draft,it need to mention that it was a great draft at this position with Burrow,Tua,Hebert,Love and Hurts....The first 4 was in the first round

Followed up by the 2022 draft, where the best one currently was Mr. Irrelevant!
