Agreed when its rooted and in place, I wonder about ours since its torn up so much with the amount of play on it plus we replace large sections of it midseason so there is no way its rooted and firmly in place thus my question around our injury stats. Glenn will sort it out. I gave him his homework assignment.

Because Pittsburgh is the only city that does such a thing. Nevermind the jets and giants playing in the same stadium. In addition to that there are college an high school games played there. But, don’t let minor details get in the way of a perfectly good opportunity to bash Pittsburgh

Off topic. Your signature is a good quote from Noll. Giving it some thought it makes sense. A person doing what they love and making damn good money doing it shouldn't need anybody to get them amped. I don't think an in his prime Chuck Noll would enjoy much about todays NFL.

The vast majority of nfl stadiums are used for multiple sports and events.the last I checked lambeau field was about the only one that didn’t serve multiple entities. They actually have a college football game scheduled there in a season or two iirc

Most of the injuries this year were pretty major.

In the beginning of the season there were a slew of these soft tissue injuries but it was also league wide.

The Steelers allow high school games on the field and it’s one weekend a year so it is not a factor

The Steelers pay to have the field redone after the high schools and Pitt finish

Yes, like the minor detail that Met-life Stadium uses a synthetic turf instead of grass. NFL players claim the Met-life field is one of the worst fields in the NFL. Or the minor detail of the Steelers field needed to be resodded for a November game. Or the minor detail of Steelers players losing their footing on their home field.

I would imagine a resodded field in November isn't as good as a field that has established roots.

    The field is heated

Grass grows well in cooler weather

Actually a great time to over seed is when it is snowing

And I’ve seen the sod being delivered this is not the stuff you see at Home Depot

Pigeons were right before they tore it up and re did it

They were trying to fix divots like at a golf tee
