Get a punter in free agency. Hope Steelers don't waste a draft pick on Punter.

Great. With the 20th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select Albert Flubberknuckler the punter from Maryland. This guy overachieved and had a solid tackle one season. He reminds us of Sepulveda before his injury. This is a great pick considering the positional need.

Performance over potential. I don't care about his every other game 65 yard bombs. He's more likely to shank two or three 25 yarders at critical moments of the game. Get someone that is steady and reliable.

With the way the offense has moved the ball the last 3 years, they probably need to use 2 punters on a rotational basis so they don't kick their legs out

    Tomlin's solution to the problem.

Hire the special teams coach from Maryland to be Punting Coordinator, but Danny Smith still gets to call the direction of the punt.

Draft a punter. Sign a free agent punter. Announce a punting competition.

Give the job to Harvin anyway.

Meh didn't bother the Bills last week with maimed punter, but then again the defense needs to get them into punting downs

Didn't I see where 1 punt from the Bills punter totaled more than 3 of whats-his-name?

The problem is they have to drag him off the Golden Corral Buffet and get him to the game on time :hehehe:

Brad Wing might get a look see in camp. They might draft one in the 7th or go the free agency route.

That said he has to go!

Looked at the stats not to shabby. I would take a Ham Sandwich over Harvin II 1/2.

That's easily attainable. Just put Trubiski in at QB. We won't have to punt when we throw interceptions.

Never understood why you can't find 32 guys who can kick a frigging football. You don't have the fear of getting slammed like a QB. There has got to be available guys in the draft. When we were younger we loved booting the ball and some kicked it far but we didn't have the pressure of big ass man coming at us and we took our sweet ass time to kick it.

I would guess if Harvin won't be in demand around the NFL. Maybe we should try him at QB;) If his punting is any reflection of how his passing would be, we ain't going deep.

If they are available in the draft why are they not drafted and why are they then not available in FA after the draft

WATCH OUT! We don't need 32 on the team but if you say it too many times Tomlin might try this and it will take 3 years before he changes that thought.

    You and your stupid logic;)

I still have a hard time understand how there are not 32 men who can punt. I was young again my son be kicking a football right out the womb. Great way to make good $$$$.

I was just fooling around with my nephew this summer, and decided to punt his football just for the hell of it. The ball went a good 40 yards, with decent hang time. Not bad for a broken down 61 year old former high school nose guard. But yeah, it's not that hard to punt a football if you can chew gum and tie your shoelaces at the same time. It does amaze me that these guys that have all the time in the world to practice can't do much better than me :lolol:
