My Steelers fantasies for the short and long term.

Fanatsies for sure, but 'tis the season for miracles:

1. Bench Pickens for at least the first half of the Bengals game.
2. Show signs of life and energy on offense and defense against Bengals. Don’t really care if they win or lose.
3. Pickett comes back against Seahawks and he and Pickens light it up for 2 scores. Warren runs for 150 and a TD. Steelers win, scoring 35 points.
4. We ruin Ravens playoff seeding. No playoff for the Steelers - finish 9-8.
5. Cam Hayward gets the Walter Payton Man-of-the Year award and announces his retirement. Thanks for all you have done.
6. Tomlin lets the coaches “get on with their life’s work” - Chuck Nollism for firing them.
7. Release our two backup QBs and punter.
8. Hire some hard-nosed, no nonsense, creative coordinators and staff. Burn the Canada/Austin playbooks.
9. Draft the next Hall of Fame center. Shore up the O-line and ILB with a good draft.
10. Get a backup veteran QB in free agency.
11. Go 2-2 in preseason, figuring out new playbook.
12. 11-6 next season, dominant running game with new O-line, adequate passing game, stifling defense. Watt breaks his own sack record. Win the AFC north in the last game of the season over Baltimore, lose in AFC championship.
13. 12-5 the season after that. Watt breaks his own sack record. Super bowl champs, Warren is MVP with 150 yards and 2 TDs. Steelers football is back. Tomlin retires.

I have been going crazy trying to remember what is said in your signature. So glad I saw it again. I am writing it down and using it. And seeing how no one knows who said it I'm making it mine

 

I wish I could recall where I first heard that, and I have been unable to locate the source. You are welcome to claim it as your own. It probably reflects some deep-seated psychological need. I think the great annoyance we feel is not that it has no consequences, but we also have no control. Kind of freeing.
