Time for a new Stillas way and a new Stillas culture. Even with a new coaching staff I'm not confident this squad is going anywhere anytime soon. Get rid of Watt and that contract and get two starters plus some draft picks that may be starters. This run is unfortunately... over...

This completely f*cking sucks. I had higher hopes for the teams in the late 90s/early 00s than this. I have little hope for 24, even with a new coaching staff. At least those Cowher teams were good at something, this squad isn't. I fail to see a new coaching staff fixing this as the roster is currently constructed. Trade assets and rebuild this thing.

 

The 80s Steelers were both more explosive AND played harder

Steelers will never blow it up under Rooney ownership, but it probably would be the smart thing to do at this point.

The roster for the most part isn’t terrible but their QB play is brutal, it’s killing the offence and putting the defence under unbearable pressure game after game. Swap quarterbacks with Kansas or Buffalo and this team is a different animal. They need a real QB, Mitch was awful today, you can’t win with a QB like that.

Tomlin is no longer bulletproof and his seat is getting warmer game after game but they will probably give him a chance to turn it around. He won’t do it with this QB room though

 

Your right the roster for the most part is not terrible but the coaching is terrible from the offensive play calling, offensive play designs, defensive play calling and designs, clock management and decision making etc.

 

That’s what you get when you change coaching regimes midseason, the Canada reign was a disaster and as they try new things mistakes are inevitable. It really was inexcusable to keep Matt Canada last offseason. Every armchair fan on this board knew he had to go but the team knew better.

 

Your are right, you need to blow it up in the offseason not during the season.
