formidable Patriots

are we going to make the patriots look formidable or make them look like a 2-11 team?
I don't know where to go with our team now, just so confused about the Steelers.

 

Win or lose,this game will be ugly to watch!

 

Belichick will bring his Chess Board and Tomlin will go get his Lego’s.

 

The Patriots have shut some good offense's down in the last few games, they are very tough to score on.

 

I wonder which game will have the higher over/under number? Steelers vs Patriots or Army vs. Navy?


Edit: Just checked Army Navy is slightly lower at 27.5 points, but at 30 points this is the lowest over/under for an NFL game in over 30 years. (and 30 years ago the rules weren't so heavily in favor of the offense) That's how pitiful both these offenses are expected to be. And don't give me "great defenses" because neither of these teams have that. Coincidently enough, that game 30 years ago also was a Patriots game vs the Bengals. So, that's the level we've hit. On a par with the early 90's Patriots and Bengals.

 

And that's without Judon and the rookie Gonzalez was already becoming a sta until he got hurt. Bourne getting hurt as well killed their offense.

 

True. The score of this game could end up being 3-0. Not really sure who will come out on top though

 

Patriots will probably score more points on Special Teams than Offense.

 

It going to be a defensive smackdown.

I don't care how they do it as long as the Steelers come out on top.

 

I was thinking the same thing. I think the Patriots will block a punt or return a punt for a TD. I was thinking returning a kickoff for a TD but other than the one to start the game there might not be anymore kickoffs.

Steelers vs patriots
Penguins vs bruins

 

If we see that "deer in the headlights" look Thursday, I am going to shatter my TV.

Then how come Belichick only has 2 wins this season ?

 

Because Belichick's roster sucks eggs and ours is pretty good.

 

Well, Belichick put that roster together, the Steelers are still in the 5th playoff spot. TJ, Cam, and Minkah have only played one full game together.

 

Oh yes, he is certainly a big issue as to why their roster is garbage. He's hired coordinators to match. What I am saying is, our team has more wins because our roster is a lot better than theirs. The only thing we share in common with NE is an inept offensive production caused by garbage QB play.

 

A poster on another board I frequent usually starts an NFL thread with the spread and schedule for every game. Instead of New England at Pittsburgh, he listed it as Boston College at Iowa.

 

Mitch Trubisky at QB doesn't fill my cup with confidence.


*I rooted for him to succeed here as a starter and allow Kenny to ride the pine with the clipboad for year.
Then reality kicked in, his 'terrible-ness' showing on every snap.

Hopefully his level of awful is less than Zappe or whomever they line up behind center is.

 

Bad enough Mitch is going to need a catchers mitt to field some of those snaps.

 

I hope that fumble against the Cardinals isn't a sign of things to come. I wonder how much Pickett has been bailing Cole out.

 

Because his King gets captured, Checkmate.

 

Kenny should play shortstop for the Pirates because he's gotten so good at fielding bad hops snapped by Cole. These bad snaps are part of the reason the passing game has been so bad. Instead of keeping his eyes down field Kenny and now Mitch are digging the ball out from the ground and barely have time to get a throw off.

 

One thing you can count on is their defense will take away your greatest strength on offense.

Right now that is the run game and Pickens, so if they want to win DJ is going to need to find the end zone.
