we were 1-2 with Ben out, we finished 2-5 down the stretch. The sick part is we should have made the playoffs, but with all of our injuries, missing the playoffs was probably the best for this team.

I agree, we weren't going anywhere. Especially with Heath out.

Not sure how failing to make the playoffs is ever a good thing, regardless of how you are playing or who is hurt.

injuries isnt why this team didnt make the playoffs... lack of heart on the O lost it.. the D played well enough to make the playoffs.. but the O was a damn joke

D only was good 2nd half of the season.

Let's face it - Defense stunk it up the first half, Offense the second half.

Overall, the team didn't deserve the playoffs

Yeah, 6 months isn't long enough to get healthy so good thing they are done.

I meant our health watching these games. One more game might have killed me. Like Pittsburgh Dad, I tried not to watch today, but I couldn't resist.

Let's face it, if the Browns wasn't so inept, we would of lost this game as well.

Here let me help you with the math. Going into the KC game, we were 5-3. The score was tied 10-10 at halftime with Ben out. Leftwich finished the game and led the steelers to the win. We lose to Baltimore then the Browns, then Batch beats the Ravens.
That is 2-2. Ben comes back and loses three in a row before beating a Browns team with a third string QB that nobody ever heard of. That is 1-3. We were 3-5 down the stretch.

First of all, my math is fine, the problem is with your reasoning. The first half we were 5-3, that we can agree on. The KC game where Ben got hurt, I am not counting since he started but didnt finish. We played 3 games without Ben and in those 3 games we were 1-2. When Ben came back we were 0-3 until he beat Cleveland yesterday. thats 1-3. You want to give Leftwich credit for the KC game and call that a game without Ben? Thats ludicrous and makes no sense. Ben played in that game so we werent "without" him.
