Andy Reid has not always had Mahomes.
Shanahan does not have a HOF QB whatsoever.

There needs to be improvement these last 7 games from Pickett. If the same issues exist the rest of the season, the Steelers will be wasting another year of Watt's, Heyward's, and Fitzpatrick's careers with another year of Pickett. But that will probably be the case with any QB for the Steelers next year.

No idea but I'm guessing he rides his contract out and leaves. I think he has next season and that is it. Just a guess but I believe he'll be around .500 over the next 24 and then get out of Coaching.

Now, that said Steelers will come alive and Tomlin stays on to guide them because it is rare my predictions come true.

I think like that too. I hate when great Steeler players never have a strong enough team and when they finally do, if they do, they are aging out. Probably happened when Ben R. came on board but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

You guys do know, there's talk of Tomlin as Coach of the Year.
    I have no clue why.

Tomlin has put in a lot of years.
I know we bellyache about his mediocrity, but it is an impressive run coupled with he's one of the most respected coaches.

My viewpoint goes along the lines of, what's he want to do?
He certainly could put together a heck of coaching staff and make a couple more runs, maybe go out with a huge bang (Super Bowl) and leave the team in good shape.
But I think he will go as he does and call it a day and ease off into the sunset. When that is, I have no idea.
I think it is his call unless he doesn't win another game this year.

BTW, Washington a while back, did want to talk about a trade for him. lol....

By that you mean Tomlin leaving and another coach doing worse? Fair question but would love to find out. Happy Turkey Day

New coach doing worse. Your first round draft picks busting. A couple decades of football that looks like the saints of the 70’s, bucs of the 80’s, lions of basically forever

Pssst just so you know. There was no question. A “?”or lack thereof is a an awesome indicator of those things

I like most things about Tomlin - a player's coach, motivator, cares for others, knows how to keep teams in games most of the time. The main issue I see is the recruitment of coaches that are teachers of football and then delegating authority to those coaches.

Not a fan of firing Canada mid season. Realize I’m the Minority opinion.
Fix that Online is priority #1. To me, KP looks scared out there and in the stains game he was running for his life the entire game. That’s a lot for a young QB to handle. Is the O line coach getting it done? Or Does he have the pieces to do so?

I think them losing that winnable game against Cleveland, and only scoring 10 points was the final straw for Canada, although that loss should be more on Pickett IMO.

So we should be glad to be just kind of stinky and embarrassing just in case we get really stinky and really embarrassing?

Sorry, that is really reaching. Aim high, aim for division and league titles or just disband the team. I don't really want to be one of those perennial 9-8 teams that never threaten anything...stuck in no mans land. I'd rather risk 4-13 than keep this unwatchable team as is. It really is not that hard to avoid losing team and bad coaching. Only the owners that THINK they know it all are the ones that have this happen. They hire buddy buddy for GM and team crashes. They force the GM to hire hadn't-done-anything-in-a-decade coach and team implodes (think Josh McDaniels). McDaniels has sucked the life out of every team he's coached and only having Tom Brady, who can shake off terrible HC and OC, saved him from top 10 list of worst coaches of all time. And yet, some owner dumber than the Raiders owner (not many left) will hire him again.

NOT everything. No one could argue against Cowher about not having won a playoff game in 7 years. Never happened under Cowher. So you might want to edit your message to "almost" everything.

And Andy Reid never won a SB before Mahomes, was owned by Tomlin before Mahomes, and was Fired from the Eagles. So...

A Genius with no SB wins. As a OC, or a HC

Well we watched the same happen with C. Lake, Greg L., R. Woodson, L. Kirkland, E. Holmes, and D. Dawson just to name a few. All were awesome players that were wasted. No SB wins for any except Woodson, and that was after He left us.

Both things can be true. Shannan is a genius and he has not won a Superbowl.

Everyone loves talking up Shanahan. But his career winning percentage is .556, and he's lost two Super Bowls.

So I don't know. Maybe he is a genius. But if so what does that make Tomlin, who has a .627 career winning percentage, plus a Super Bowl title.

Could be that Shanahan is a modern day Marv Levy.

Well He was a OC for 8 years....No SB wins as that, and a HC for 6 years, and No SB wins for that either. I do agree He's very good, but before we throw around genius.....shouldn't He at least win one SB out of 14 years as a OC, and HC???

I don't think people are saying that we'll go to a SB with a new coach. What I sense is people don't think we will go to a SB without a new coach. Nonetheless, I'll add the other scenario. What would people say if we win a Super Bowl in the 5 years after our current plague ends? If unsure, ask what the Eagles do with their coaching staffs and why they are currently one of the best teams in the NFL with a great chance of being in the SB once again. Like them or not, their owner has goals that appear to be higher than ARII. Football goals that is. JMO>

This also reminds me of another joke. How many yinzers does it take to change a light bulb? Ans: 1,000,000. One to screw in the bulb, and 999,999 that look back and ask WTF took so long to change the light bulb after it's hasn't done sh"t for nearly a decade? JMO>

Some of it is on Pickett, he runs into many sacks.
