Best question is what comes first......
    400 yds, or 30 pts

Yards mean nothing. Points win games, not yards.

    Yards helps score points
Yards help keep the D off the field
Yards tires out the opposing D
Yards don't win games, but they sure help

Not saying that don't. The Cowboys are the 2nd highest scoring team in the league at 30.2 per game yet average 372 yards per game. Back in the Arians days the Steelers racked up a ton of yards per game but were horrendous in the red zone.

If this team can get to 24 points per game, they will win out.

Points or bust. They can get 500 yards per game and it means nothing if they don't score points.

30 points. A punt return for a TD, a pick 6, a fumble recovery in the end zone and 3 FG's.

I'll take 200 yards passing and 1 passing TD

That's something being overlooked. Did the offense suck? Yes

But k was not even upset by no TDs.... they could not even get to RBs 38.. to give Boz a 55 yard chance

In 8 quarters against the browns they only snapped the ball inside of 35 on 3 drives and only 1 of them reached the red zone (1 them started at the 39 and made it to 34)

Forget the goal line.. get me to the 34 4 or 5 time a game and let Boz do his thing

    HACK

Let's run the wishbone on Sunday...what fun that would be! Pickett can pitch to Warren, Harris or Heyward! Or he can take it himself, got knocked out and bring in Mitch. cmon Sully. do it.

With Arians as OC they were also one of the best team in time by possession on offense for most of the time(they had like 3:00 per drive on offense in some years, who was the best in the league)and it was one of the reason why our defense did not give up many points

Sometimes,PPG don't say everything....It can also depend on the field position, turnovers by the defense and other things but yards means that you move the ball very well....That doesn't mean everything, but it's still an indication If we only judge the offense by PPG, we could say in 2006, the Bears with Rex Grossman were a elite offense like the Colts with Peyton Manning with 427 points each!...Or in 2019 when the 49ers had scored more points that the chiefs but allowed more that the chiefs but no one will said that the chiefs had a better defense and worst offense that the 49ers that year!

    Why do you say "yet?"

They're top 5 in yards and 2nd in points. Would they be 2nd in points if they were lets say 15th in yards? Extremely unlikely.
Yards and points tend to go together to a certain extent. If a team is very poor in the red zone then they will be a bit of the exception, but generally speaking, they go together pretty well

If we start racking up yards, the points will come as well. Although I agree that 24 points per game would be pretty good. That would put us top 10 though. I simply don't see that happening.

It means you can move the ball, which in turn brings more/better opportunities to score, it also means whille your offense is on the field, they can't score and your defense is rested.

In the end, ALL that matters is points but as a we have seen simply hoping you can stay in the game and steal it late has a limited ceiling as far as your team progressing into the PS and actually winning any games while you're there.

If the end goal is winning the SB then you have to be able to move the ball.

I just read on CBS sports Steelers haven't had a 400 yd game
In the last 58 games. Remember how Todd Haley would always
talk about avg 30 points a game? Never came close to that. All that talent
    Still couldn't average 30.
