frustrated with opponent's short passing game

Steelers are giving too much underneath our defense. The quick throws are neutralizing our pass rush. Maybe need to adjust and rush only 2/3 guys and the rest go into pass coverage to stop the dink and dunk passes. So frustrating our defense can't get off the field and lack of sacks.

 

DTR, DDR, DVD whatever his acronym is didn't play well today. Well enough to win, but not good. They had a gameplan that Austin and the Steelers SHOULD have expected. That is, quick-hitters, single reads and designed QB runs. However, first quarter they seemed surprised. It's baffling

Then on offense, how could they not expect the Browns to blitz and stunt lineman??? Coaching is bad bad bad

 

They scored 13 dinky points and we still couldn’t win. WTF

 

This is not just about this game...Our defense is still not good and this is not a game against backup QB will change that....Our offense is bottom 5,but our defense is average at best

 

A lot of the yards come after whiffs and broken tackles.

 

D played well enough and Browns played lousy enough on offense for us to win. This one's on the offense, minus Warren. Not to say the D is without issues against better opponents, but that wasn't really the issue yesterday other than the final drive. I'm sure it was demoralizing for them to watch our pathetic offense have multiple chances late in the game to win it, and completely fail to do anything.

To be fair, the team is down multiple ILBs and safeties, so attacking short and underneath makes sense. The Steelers are starting practice squad guys there because they have no choice.
