for a 3rd rounder, becomes a FA after this year, but he is playing well and if it gets them to the Sb..and a win well worth it. Plus heard on radio the 9's at this time will have the most CAP money for fa next year. That's a trade that makes sense when you have the team to make a run and you throw all cards on the table to get there.

    Great move by the 49ers.

Haven't been getting too many sacks nor too much pressure from the QB all season in comparison to seasons past. Young is having a very solid 2023 and should receive an additional boost now belonging to a 49ers Front that can now become more proficient in rushing the passer. One major problem remains though...:

Can Brock Purdy limit his turnovers for the rest of the season?! Six within the last couple of games isn't a recipe for success.

The 49ers last year went and got McCaffrey and now this year Young. They sure don't mess around when it comes to finding a missing piece to their run for a title.

They are at least trying, I can get behind teams that try to improve.

While young hasn’t become the player he promised to be I’m still surprised that is the best offer they got. Low risk high reward move for the 49ers if this works out they either re-sign him or let him go and get their compensatory pick back. If it doesn’t work out they haven’t given up much anyway.

Yep. Complete opposite of the Redskins. Are we still allowed to call them that?

He's still on a rookie contract kinda.....Washington didn't sign his 5th year option..... Now we shall see if the 49ers sign Him long term....I could be wrong about everything I said....LoL....I actually don't keep up with this side of ball, and what I just wrote is only what I have heard.

I'm shocked by this trade, because I read the Steelers were a top contender for Chase Young trade. Or, was it Derrick Henry? Or, was it Jaylon Johnson? Or, Patrick Surtain II? Or, Mecole Hardman? Ah man, I am losing track of everyone who was suppposed to come to Pittsburgh via trade.

I never heard of PS2 coming to the Steelers. Although I did say many times I wish they would go get Him. I still do.
