Hard Knox is that near Fort Knox? I wouldn’t mind that as it’s just an hour and a half from me.

And how has that enriched your life :smiley1:

I was at the Bureau of Engraving once standing next to 13 carts of uncut new currency

Bills ranged from $1 to $100 640,000 bills on a cart

And ever dollar was still in the same place when I was escorted out

(for those that don’t know, currency does not come from the mint, it comes from BOE)

I always watch it. Find it very cool but generally it is teams who did not do well the previous season. If they rotated teams regardless of the seasons they had I'd love to see the Steelers on it. I've been watching since 2001 and the Jets have been on twice. Bengals have been twice. Some of the teams decline to do it and I sure get why. IMO the Steelers would decline the offer???

And it's not about Chuck Knox;)

If the Steelers do not make the playoffs, and Mike Tomlin does not retire; That will pretty much guarantee the Steelers will be on Hard Knocks next year.

I still say the Steeler organization would turn down the offer.

Ok. You do know the Jets said "No" this year too.

The Hard Knocks people get to decide where they go, based on the rules the NFL has setup with the teams. If the team qualifies under the rules as being able to be on the show, there is nothing they can do to stop the show from coming to town.

In order to be featured on the "Hard Knocks," you need to meet these three requirements: have not made it to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, have a head coach in at least their second year on the job and have not been on the show in the past decade.

Oh I see. Now I know why teams didn't have to go. Kind of at odds with that. I own a team I do not want that distraction unless of course they give me tons of money.

I think you highly underestimate the influence of powerful people

If Rooney says no it’s no

And I think you are being naive in thinking the Network will turn down huge ratings, just not to upset a small town owner.

Steelers will have hit rock bottom if they wind up on Hard Knocks.

Your team is a complete joke if they are on that show.

Judging from what I can find on the interwebs, the owners allowed the league to make a rule that teams can be forced to do Hard Knocks if they meet the criteria.
Forcing an organization like the Steelers to do it is a whole other animal.
