Kicker is just an area where the Steelers are better than the Rams. Boswell is one of the best in the business. Maher isn't. It counts, just as the terrible coverage by Wallace and poor pass protection by the offensive line in the first half count.

You are sure right about that. No telling how Maher's ineffectiveness affected the Rams play calling and decisions. Hey Pressley Harvin was pretty golden too wasn't he.

Canada is just happy to be Number 1 in some category. Too bad it's 3 and outs.

He had a tepid celebration when Kenny changed the play and Warren scored.

    He's a tiny little man.

You do understand that the audibles are also a part of the OCs plays, and KFP isn't making them up on the fly.

Having a running game helped. No we didn’t set the league on fire, but the Rams respected the run enough for us to open up the passing game

this is correct - and from what I saw, Canada was excited about what we going on in the 2nd half. don't buy that crap that he does not care or does not want success

Agreed....that is just people hating. I didn't ever want Him hired, but what OC....especially with His job on the line wouldn't be happy about scoring??? It make no sense....yet some will actually believe this.

I think he is just a reserved/intense person. He seemed pretty fired up to me. A distinct "LETS GO". He shouldn't have to stand up or wave his arms around celebrate a big play, especially one that didn't end the game.

I realize that it's just the nature of how this message board works but it seems like we are always trying to have the "chicken or the egg" conversation. Why were we successful? Was it because of the coordinator finally calling good plays or just the players finally started to execute? In my humble opinion, it doesn't take a genius to understand that both need to happen. And truthfully, I don't really give a sh!t what happened to make the offense come alive in the second half. They did so and now hopefully they have a blueprint as to how to continue that success in the earlier parts of the game instead of waiting until the second half.

Could run scripted drives and 2 minute drills the whole first half and rack up a bunch of points but the defense would be worn out.

Pickett and the offensive line just aren't ready to start getting into a lot of shootouts yet. I don't mind seeing them snooze and play careful and take the time to figure out what the other team is doing in the first half and then get the defense and offense jazzed in the second half for a big finish. Seen the Steelers do that a zillion times with a lot of different quarterbacks. Always liked it.

I'll give Matt Canada credit he deserves it. but he still needs to run crossing routes it would make it so easy for Kenny to throw then.
