Sucks that Friermuth is out. Sounds like his hamstring is not healing, if he keeps re-aggravating it.

If Watt has to miss Rams game... Golden and Herbig will have to step up.

Getting DJ back will be good for the offense, if the O-line doesn't crap the bed like they did vs. Texans.

 

Watt said 1 hour ago that the injury was minor. He also practiced. What a cluster-F this thread has become. Geesh.

 

NFL Network- Insiders said Watt may be out vs. Rams. This was an hour ago. Muth is definitely out.

I heard elsewhere that Watt said it was minor and he feels great. There are no valid reports of it being anything serious. Apparently bbh thought that was funny.

Friermuth out is not all that bad, I (personally) am relieved, he needs a break from getting hit in the head and racking up concussions... behind him are the rookie Washington, Heyward, and Rodney Williams, all guys with upside and in need of more playing time, give Friermuth a rest, we will need him second half of season, hoping he is back 100% in a few weeks

Sunday I am looking at improved pass blocking, better and early Pickett decision making, some holes for an ok running game but mostly a tighter secondary, if we give up a bunch of yard to Stafford when will it end? The time for secondary to show something is this weekend

I’m wondering how much this injury is going to impact Freiermuth’s upcoming deal. I’m guessing a lot. I don’t think he’ll have any shot at collecting a top-tier TE contract after this season.

Maybe he takes a one-year deal and bets on himself. If he goes multi-year, he’s going to be getting a lot less than Waller, Hockensen, etc. I could see him in the 10-12 million/year category now. But not likely higher.

Cowherd from the Herd is 50-50 on the Steelers and what he says negative about them he happens to be right. Kyle on "GMFB" is practically a Steeler fan for as high as he regards them and Joy from "Speak" is a known Steeler fan from Pgh. I have no idea why most Steeler fans imagine the media is "against the Steelers" but it's patently untrue.

 

Cowherd said Steelers should trade Watt, Pickens and 2 future #1 picks for Caleb Williams.

He is, but it is far from the only time he has been both wrong and negative about the Steelers. I can understand why you wouldn't see it that way since you are so consistently negative.
