Who is the real problem: Kenny or OL?

it’s probably a mixture of both. But Kapri’s is still young and developing so it is expected for him to make mistakes. There is no excuse for the offensive line. It’s really hard to evaluate anyone when the offensive line plays so bad.

 

I know it's popular to blame crappy OL play on a lot of our offensive problems but it doesn't really seem as simple as that. I've seen plenty of plays where Kenny DID have time and he just didn't know where to throw the ball. That's not the OL's fault.

 

But it is in the context that it has happened enough in his young careeer that he now no longer trusts the line and has developed bad habits. I think the worst thing for a young QB’s development is poor oline play and poor scheme/OC. Pickett is faced with both. You take some of the best QB’s and put pressure on them they don’t play well. I believe we messed Pickett up at this point. I hope we can get him calmed down and get him back on track but without being able to generate a run game u don’t see how we can.

 

I think that brings us back to coaching: Canada AND Tomlin. Canada because he simply isn't good enough to be an NFL OC - and was never proven to be on any level. And Tomlin, because he can't tell the difference and all he knows is he "owes" Canada from the scholarship he gave to his son. Plus, Tomlin in his megalomaniac tendencies has to control everything, and he doesn't know jack sh-t about play calling in the NFL.
