I'm one of those ppl that think that Madden is a great tool to look at different things a team could or couldn't do just so you can have a discussion. That being said they more often than not get the Steelers wrong. I had online matches back when EA and Madden made Vick a god and every gamer loved using him and the Falcons because he'd run 15 yards backward roll to one side and then rush for a 65 yd TD. I made quite a few of these fans boys rage quit because I played Steeler football. I sent dbl CB blitzes because they can't see them coming to negate Vick and the I used Dan Krieder and Hines Ward to open holes for Najee Davenport. I had one kid scream that I needed to stop running the ball, I said why you can't stop it and I'm chewing up the clock.

I'm not sure I trust a simulation where Stroud puts up 38pts on a Watt led defense or where they can't pound the football vs a no name Texans D.

 

Texans hammered the Jags 37-17 in their house. I don't think many would argue that Kenny is a better QB than Lawrence right now. But Pgh is a 3 pt favorite.

 

Guess I don’t have to watch the game now and can put my 401K on Houston. Thank you.

 

Just a thought but if you take everything out of your 401K at your age it will instantly be taxable along with a penalty

Since you are going to win anyway borrow the money from a loan shark on Saturday and pay it back with points on Monday

I use to follow those simulation games to see if outcome was right. A lot of times they were wrong. On a Golf one I shot a 94 at Peeble Beach. In real life it would be 194.

 

Madden 04..CB blitz one side and QB contain the other and the vick users didnt know what to do. Used to do online madden leagues and was pretty good back in the day on ps2. Top 200 online ranked for madden 04(college days). I used the steelers for every game and you either faced the vikings with vick and crumpler/finneran or the vikings with culpepper and michael bennett/moss. I thought the steelers were pretty average in madden 04 with tommy gun at qb, but burress could do the jetpack catch(if you know u know) due to his height and jump rating. I'd always put Brian St. Pierre as my punter and if I ever did have to punt the 1st one would be a fake. With all that said the game sucks and it never changes. The playbooks are basically identical from 04 to whatever year it is now which I bought the game played it 5x and am done with the game. The only difference in the game between then and now are individual hot routes you can make presnap and if you can't get off 7 or 8 hot routes before the snap playing online is pointless.

 

But if they lose not sure I would be around to tell the tale

There was a trick I used to do, playing against the computer, where you put your OLBers in as CBs and vice versa. The LBs would jam the receivers (basically tackle them), and the CBs were too quick for the linemen and would rush in for a sack. That was back when they let you design your own plays,

I have tailed a guy who posts bets based on Madden stuff. I have never played an xbox. This guy has power ratings etc. and has been working on it for YEARS !
