A 72 yard pass is hardly a drive. We ran two plays for 3 yards and then a 72 yard pass for a td. If that’s a drive to you so be it. It will never be a drive in my book.

/edit being that you were calling for Kenny to be benched in the first quarter it’s interesting that you’ve changed your tune today

Very important trait actually for a QB you want to be the guy.

Kenny shines when the lights are brightest.

And yes, definitely a faction here that made up their minds about Kenny before he was even drafted.

Hate club on Kenny? It's not like he's playing hero ball out there; still has more ints than TDs. Gimmee a break on hate club. Do you think they should be fitting him for a gold jacket?

I believe Kenny played his best game. 2 TDs, no INTs. Had a great gun called back by a stupid penalty.

Just keep working and collecting wins.

Which is a shame regarding the bolded.

No one is saying he is going to be the next Peyton Manning or Drew Brees. However, give the young QB his credit; he played well last night and rebounded in a big way from Monday Night. Hopefully he can continue to ascend from here.

Besides, fans should be rooting for him. Of course now, Kenny himself had been bad up until last night... so there is still some work that needs to be done on his end. Even so, he is capable of winning in big time moments; something a lot of fans should be excited about... and doubly so since QBs he has been compared to like Jimmy G, Kirk Cousins and even Andy Dalton cannot do that to save their life apparently.

Yeah. Pickett should be fitted for a gold jacket immediately. So should Stroud and Lawrence.

Trevor Lawrence better step it up is what needs to happen. Jaguars do face the Falcons and that should be an easy win. However, Atlantas Offensive Line has been purposely built to run the football. Granted, the Jaguars have one of the better Run Defenses in the NFL but that will not do much if they cannot get past that line.

 Are you KFPs father? This is really getting embarrassing, constructive criticism is now considered a hater? The young man definitely has a lot of room for improvement, in which he took a step forward against Raiders.
The nutthugging of KFP is truly kinda sad, i hope you dont end up pregnant! LOL

There are a certain type of Steeler fan who thinks this way (any criticism at all is just "hate.") Kenny is FAR from the perfect QB, his QBR tells you that. He's currently 31st, I'm not kidding.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

Ryan Tannehill, Zach Wilson and Justin Fields are lower. (Not the best company to be hanging around.)

Tua Tagovailoa, Brock Purdy, Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen lead the top of the list; that's where we want Kenny. Not at 31st.

I have new information since then, including the 72-yard touchdown pass and the the other touchdown drive. The first two drives looked like more of the same struggles, but he turned that around. It’s not as if I was calling for him to be benched forever. I thought he might need a reset to clear his head after his brutal start to the season. I was wrong, just as you are wrong in dismissing a 75-yard touchdown drive just because 72 yards came on one play. That is just silly. One of the big complaints about Pickett had been the lack of big plays. It was a fair one, too. He needs to keep doing that to make it more difficult for opponents to crowd the line of scrimmage.

Well very true. Although when the opposing defense KNOWS the play your going to run because of the predictability of the high school play caller for the life of me why is Pickett not allowed to audible out of the play?

Popcorn said its up to the coaching? When your at the line of scrimmage and there is an 8 man front and you run into a wall gaining bupkis maybe at that point you need to make a decision as the #1 QB. But he can't. WTF is wrong with this picture? The control freak Canada.

I agree. I was focusing more on how important that throw was for Pickett. He needed to show everyone he can throw it deep effectively. Now he needs to do it more often.

Steelers are running a 2008 offense. Watch the Dolphins and Eagles. Their offenses are fresh, productive and unpredictable.

You know how You run a more unpredictable, and a offense that builds off itself?????
Well first You must stop getting 3, and outs.....otherwise You can't get very far into any playbook if You can't do the 1st stuff correctly.

Agreed. I know, I just went off the road :hehehe:

Bombs away To Austin III with Surgical like precision turned into a 72 yard TD. Was a thing of beauty! And a major block of Crosby coming up the middle by Warren. Stoned him!
