Seriously? There will be a lot of broken tackles this season by the offense.

As someone posted in the X thread

His head was up and eyes were up! He even got his helmet to the side! What the hell are they looking at?

This is simply just wrong. I hope this doesn't effect his play. When they start digging in your pocket and labeling you as a dirty player ... it alters your playing style.

I thought it was a clean play. The leading with the helmet rule is probably going to cost teams in the win/loss column this season.

Another subjective rule to influence the outcome of point spreads and games.

If that's a penalty than it makes more sense to fine the official who missed the call.

He’s technically a repeat offender and the rule has been modified and the NFL wants to send a Message Early!!!

Still, seems a bit excessive for the offense !!

Textbook tackle, not a penalty, and doubling down on the terrible call with a fat fine is just absurd. We can't be far from flag football at this point.

Funny, did you read the article about the Steelers being the dirtiest team in the NFL for the last 3 year? The thing that got me was the amount of fines compared to the team in second place; that is just crazy to go from $290K to $5.34 million.

Pittsburgh Steelers Named Worst Behaved Team in NFL - Sports Illustrated Pittsburgh Steelers News, Analysis and More
Over the last three years, the Steelers have committed 30 infractions, which the NFL labels as penalties that "affects the competitive aspects of the game." In those three seasons, Pittsburgh has committed 30 infractions, ranking highest in the league above the Dallas Cowboys with 25.

The most alarming part of the study is the fine totals. The Cowboys have been hit with $292,158 in fines over the last three seasons. The Steelers have been fined $5,342,533 over the time.

It was funny on one of Ben's podcast he talked about getting that FedEx letter on Tuesday from the NFL when you were going to be fined. The team would just put the FedEx letter in your locker, so it would be waiting for you when you walked in the door Tuesday morning. And everyone on the team in the locker room would know exactly what was waiting for you.
