I'm just like a lot of these Guys though. I'm excited , but I try not to be too excited about Guys I've never seen play at this level. Hell I remember example....people (My Cousin included) being so excited about Shamarko Thomas aka Sharknado .....people had become so enamored with Him ...He already got a nickname. I don't remember Him contributing to very much ever, and that's just one example. Hell I was that way about a few players back in the day that never ever did anything. So now I try ,and slow My excitement.....not about the team, but all the new faces that haven't played a down in the NFL.

 

I get that. no one is saying this kid is going to be the next Lynn Swann. Most are just happy to see him out there being able to practice and are excited about the speed he brings to the table. I get so sick of hearing people put someone down by saying "it's football in shorts" or "he hasn't played a down of real football" That's all. I get it. EVERYONE gets it. I kind of like being optimistic and excited about hearing good things about new players. But not on this board by God!!! Anyway that's how i feel.

It's like watching the Muppets when you say something good about a rookie

 

There is a grand canyon sized gap between saying something good about a player and the Vivid Video style fluffing going on for a short speedy receiver in OTA sessions in shorts and no pads. Look at some of the reports you'd think he was a better AB and ready to light the NFL a blaze. The slow summer months create monsters out of myths.

 

Not one single rookie from this year's draft has played a single snap in the NFL, yet each one is met with varying degrees of optimism. Not sure I see the problem. Just one more stupid thing to argue about when it's slow.

 

This is why I'm very excited about the Steelers, and cautiously optimistic about the new additions. Im probably the most excited about seeing if KFP makes a jump in His play.

 

But hey watch what happens when Trice gets burned for a TD in preseason. That bum, what a wasted pick, cut him now. lol
