Malik Willis?

The main reason I was happy to hear Franco Harris announce Kenny Pickett's name last year was that we weren't hearing him say Willis's name. I was that dead set against the idea of the Steelers wasting a first-round pick on Willis.

That said, if they can get him for free as their No. 3 quarterback for this season, I have no problem with that.

Agree, but sadly, he was touted as a 1st round pick and it was likely easy for him to get caught up in all it.

He tried that, but barely got on the field for two seasons at Auburn before transferring to Liberty. That his play was erratic even at Liberty and that he played in such a simplistic offense were to of the reasons I did not want the Steelers wasting an early draft pick on him.

FYI. Malik Willis is now 2-0 for Green Bay.

 

Green Bay/LaFleur is a quarterback factory. QBs really do grow on trees in Green Bay. Willis will get a starting job somewhere next year.... and Bryce Young will back up Jordan Love, and eventually get to start due to injury and win a playoff game.

 

I did not expect that!

What a job that Matt Lafleur did with him!
