Exactly. 4th round pick, 5th round pick, 6th round picks are not worth moving down. We need quality not quantity.

We all saw what happened in 2022 when TJ got injured, they do need a quality #3 OLB.

Porter Jr is available just pick him up. They'd be dumb not too imo. The risk is very low at this point imo he's almost guaranteed to be at least a solid starter if not more.

Peterson can rotate to safety if needed. The WRs in the division are getting good.

It's a no brainer to me

I doubt that's a real possibility. Not too many teams willing to give up first round picks, let alone for.... a second round pick. I probably wouldn't do that anyways. This is a good draft at the positions we need it to be good at. Just keep the pick instead of betting on next year's class.
You're right, I missed that. I don't see our DL group as being as bad as some think, but they have scouted the position pretty extensively... so there is definitely a chance.

100% with you here. This idea of trading for multiple late round picks just feels silly to me when you can get a first round talent CB in the 2nd right away. I'll take 2 picks in the 2nd round over 4-5 picks in the 4th-6th rounds. So much more value there.

Would y'all trade #32 for AJ Terrell with Atlanta and maybe their 3rd?

Who's to say that draft picks are the only thing on the table.

The only way a trade back in this year's draft makes sense IMO is if we don't like Porter Jr. or Branch enough to make them our pick at 32. If there are a group of 5-7 guys we are comfortable with and want to move back, then its ok.

I'd prefer to see us just take Porter Jr. and then go with the best DL/ILB/OLB/S available at 49.

How about keeping 2 picks in the second round AND picking up another pick. It could happen.

Now if there is a guy at 32 head and shoulders above the rest, then we should take him.

Moving down from 32 is smart IF any only if there is no compelling player available AND you have a few guys you think are worth a mid 2nd round pick.

It`s all about value and opportunity. If there is only one guy we think is worth a second round pick we should take him now, but since we are entertaining offers, it tells me for sure our management is not set on getting one particular guy.

The trade would be for picks in the 40s and 80s. It would not be late round. Just sayin. Not sure I would do it,

I have no problem taking JPj, I have NP moving down a few picks if it secures another top 100 or near pick. You have to consider the entire board and move with that. The idea rotating Peterson to S is not always an option. CB and S are totally different positions with different skill sets and outlooks from the player. Some guys made that transition, some very well, but for all the talk about moving an older guy to a different position, its just that talk.

So he is on the last year of his contract, I could not find if Atl gave him the 5th year option, which had to be done last year. So no I dont trade for a guy that might walk after 1 year.

Just a point for those of you wanting to trade straight out for a first- a first in next years draft is worth 590 points. Our pick at 32 is worth (checks watch) 590 points. I’m going to want more than that to trade out of 32.

Don’t know why people are assuming Khan will just give this pick away, “here’s my 32nd, give me your 7th round picks for the next 5 years!”

What if they only move down a few spots, still get Porter/Branch/Smith and a 3rd rd pick? Or even a 4th?

Then you still have 49 plus one more pick. No brainer.

I feel bad for anyone that lives in Atlanta and has to deal with that stupid a$$ traffic on a daily basis.

Yep, but I've been here long enough and know how to navigate the back streets when necessary. Also, I've been working virtually since COVID hit too.

Had to go drive to Florida for work and I tried to avoid Nashville and Atlanta at any kind of respectable hour. Rolled through about midnight and there was still all kinds of traffic with crazies going 100mph.

The next team after then likely to trade up for a quarterback is the Seahawks at 47. Levis or Hooker could be a nice project behind Smith. I don't think they are getting Porter if they move that far back. I think both Porter and Branch would be gone. Of course, if they can get Cam Smith and add a third-round pick, that would work, but it really does have to be that high of a pick.

I think people are thinking it would be less because they only gave up a four to move up yesterday, but I think screwing the Jets had actual value for the Patriots. This isn't just fan talk. They were talking about it on NFL Network today, the idea that New England was willing to give Pittsburgh a better deal because it kept Jones away from the Jets.
