Sure, but only if there’s a “sure thing” quality LT available there. Those guys usually go top 10.

Now don’t go making me remind you that the same school that QB went to beat Arkansas last season… oops I guess I just did!

My take is if Paris Johnson or Broderick Jones is there, you pull the trigger, unless you believe Anton Harrison could be just as good and you can get him at 32. Skoranski has been falling, because there's a good chance he can't play tackle. He's the best lineman in the draft, however. So mixed about him.

Lots of teams are going to want the QB, Corner, Pass Rusher as well. We shall see.

I'm looking forward to Khan and Weidl's first draft together.

From what I had read, Weidl is the guy who built the draft board the past several years in Philly, so hell yeah.

Means squat. I have never said Arkansas was good....hell I've said the opposite. LoL.
Judging the SEC by Arkansas is like Judging the AFCN by the browns.

Moore is better than a whole bunch of You think...now the guard next to him is another thing.
Again You can't as a Qb drift into the blocking lane, and then scream....well He allowed a sack.....No $hit ....You just walked right into where He's trying to pass Him by. LoL.

It was a fun jab at your team. I had to do it. It’s a contractual requirement.

I agree with you we won't load up on OL, I said it was what I'd have done, not that they will.

if Paris Johnson or Broderick Jones are available. I hope we take either over anyone. Then Devon Witherspoon.. But past those 3. I hope it's going BPA other than QB or RB. From what I been seeing draft wise, that's probably Brian Branch, Kalijah Kancey,, Brian Bresee. I'll take all of of them over the Corners.

Emanuel Forbes and Phillips the 3td would be my choices at 32. Then Brentz or Rush in the 3rd/4th.

But if I were to guess, the 2 we are most likely to draft are JPJ and Ky Blu Kelly.

These first three picks must be day one contributors if we are
to play with the big boys. Why do you think Bama, Ga, and Ohio State
Are always in the playoffs? Because they get the best players. We have to build our
    Roster with standout talent.

One thing I know for sure. They really need to find a way to not only resign Sutton and Edmunds but also either bring in some DL talent or ILB talent in free agency because they aren’t going to fill all of their holes just in the draft.

I really don't know the best choice at 17. The second tier LT doesn't really impress like they do most, and CB is so deep that we can find a quality guy in the 2nd or even 3rd round. The CBs, that seems the most realistic, that I like the most are Emmanual Forbes in the 2nd Rd or Darrius Rush in the 3rd Rd. Tyrique Stevenson seems like a solid choice as well. And jeez the secret on that LB from Arkansas shooting up people's mocks. I'm seeing Drew Sanders as high as the mid 20's. RT Dawand Jones seems to be a guy floating in the border 1st/2nd range that I tend to like the most. With him you can move Chux back to LT. I tend to think Dawand, Schmidt or O'Cyrus will be a Steeler after the first or 2nd day of the draft. I highly doubt they go after 2 OL, but I tend to think Khan will be making draft day deals to pick up more draft capital.

The CB is the hardest position to judge....outside of Qb....I don't care what all the draft specialists say......It's not that deep.....I will put 500 dollars right now saying only 4 of the so called deep CBs will even be starters in the NFL in 5 years.
How many times have we heard so called deep at positions before, and within 5 years only 2-3 of those guys are even playing still???

When you say 4, do you mean 4 of the group projected in the first round or 4 starting corners in 5 years from this entire draft? Keep in mind that there are 64 day-one starting outside corners in the NFL, plus nickel corners who are starters for some teams.

No ...1st 2 rounds. I'm only counting outside CBs.
Keep in mind all the times You've heard deep at a position....then go back , and look who was drafted....then go ahead five years, and see how many of those so called deep at a position are still starters.

Omar Khan is talking about trading up; this means the Big 3 LTs are back on the board baby!

I just think it means they REALLY like a guy or two and we aren't afraid to trade up to make sure we get that guy. I'm almost always a proponent of trading up and not down, so I like hearing this.

    I mean...

Should the Steelers not obtain at least a quality Corner in the Draft... phew boy.... good luck with the likes of Amari Cooper, JaMarr Chase and others in the Division. The Conference is another can of worms all together. Never mind that though. Weidl's background has his fingerprints KNEE DEEP in drafting Corners; something he always took great pride in (more can be found here).

Between me and @S.T.D, perhaps Andy Weidl can be a major contribution towards getting a Corner that can actually play the position.

    Hell... he can play Center!!

I wouldn't mind him and Mason Cole doing battle for the spot. Even if Cole wins, Cole is on borrowed time anyhow. Come 2024, plug in Pete for the position. Problem solved.

I think it is safe to say that Omar Kahn had seen what happened with Big Ben and the inhuman amount of punishment he took during the early years of his career. I seriously doubt he wants to repeat history in that sense again.

Was there anything said (by a Steelers front office person, not a media person) to indicate that they are specifically targeting O line if they trade up? I’m wondering if we may trade up for a corner (specifically JP Jr.)

Just an FYI- Omar said he was open to trading. That could also mean a trade down. If we were going to trade up or down, I would think it would be pick 32, where we could go up for a fifth year option or go down with someone desperate to get someone who fell out of the first round.
