I understand. It is an interesting take, but its interesting take season. FA is slowing down and the draft is still a month away. Gotta get clicks somehow, right

I think Herbig gets that important backup Center/Guard role for the Steelers. And, bumps Green to his couch.

So We are the Bears. Not a dang one of You can support Trubisky....without going back to Chicago.....not with what He has done here. LoL

Because what He did at Chicago is not helpful for the Steelers one freaking bit.
So if P.P. comes into Pittsburgh, and is shot at CB...does it make a freaking dang what He did before??? LoL.
I give a dang about what Trubisky did here......Here.
As a PITTSBURGH Steelers Trubisky is a way worse Qb than Mason.
Again they both suck, but You people still trying to stand up for You thinking Trubisky was good is freaking hilarious.
That's just as bad as the people standing up for T. Edmunds.

Why would we not include every part of a player's career when evaluating them? That's just silly.

Not try to argue. I'm just stating what He did before doesn't help us one bit . We have brought in a lot of players that had decent careers elsewhere, but not very good here.....We didn't keep them because of what they did before.....if they didn't do it here. That's all I'm getting at.

Peterson is 33 years old, a time when age is becoming a factor. That is not the case with Trubisky, who is only 28. Your analogy doesn't hold up at all.

What you are doing is picking the statistics that fit your narrative and finding an excuse to ignore the rest. I'm not playing that game, nor should anybody who wants to be accurate in their evaluation.

I'm not saying Trubisky is good. I'm saying he is better than Rudolph, which is a low bar. The statistics back up my argument, not yours. What he did for the Bears is relevant to evaluating him as a player whether you like it or not. If he was in his mid-30s, that would be a different matter entirely, but he is not.

I'm just saying that isn't how the Steelers are evaluating him and they are right. They are looking at his entire resume, not just one season. They think he can be a decent backup, a better one than Rudolph. The evidence says they are right.

If you can get a Flier at ILB like Trenton Simpson does that take away the need for a box safety? I know the Steelers have been looking all over Clemson players Trenton Simpson.

I hate this photo of Trenton, reminds me to much of Devin Bush.

They help in evaluating him honestly and accurately, which would be the right way to do it.

I see Edmunds signing with the Eagles on a one year deal. I’m still very surprised the Steelers couldn’t work something out with him

He is what he is - great in run support. Not great at anything else.

10-15 years ago he would have been an amazing strong safety, but with the emphasis on passing offenses these days, he’s not an ideal secondary player.

    I like Riley.

I’d also like to see what Scott Nelson can do. 6’2” 210 lbs and ran a 4.38 with a 40” vertical at Wisconsin pro day, spent most of last year on Steelers practice squad.

One of the two may be able to give you what Edmunds did. By NFL standards Edmunds was a JAG (just another guy) in my opinion. Should be easy to replace him or even improve the SS spot.

The front office may think that either Riley or Nelson can step in for all we know.
