Top 5 offseason needs for the Steelers

OL
DL
ILB
CB
OLB/WR

 

CB, DL, SS, and MLB/ILB...after that I don't care

some of these will be filled by internal FA’s. We should be targeting at least one of these for an outside FA to come in. Draft the rest

 

IMO....

1. OT - I'm not sold on Dan Moore being the guy at LT.
2. ILB - We just haven't had consistent play here since Shazier got hurt.
3. CB - I'd like to go FA for this. I know Colbert is gone but we've just been dreadful drafting CB's.
4. DL - The NT from Baylor is intriguing.
5. OLB/Edge - Highsmith is probably playing his way out of Pittsburgh into a bigger contract somewhere else.

I'd look in later rounds for a WR and S.

I think if Paris Johnson, Peter Skoronski, or Broderick Jones are available at 17, it would hard to pass on one of these three.

 

If Paris Johnson is there at #17 the Steeler rep who is making the call should sprint to the podium. He will likely go in the top ten.

 

Agreed. He'll probably be gone but it will be malpractice on their part if he slides and they pass, IMO.
