Pickett is not the best name for a QB and Pickens not so good for WR. That word "pick" is not a good thing unless the Steelers pick it.

I think Ben was 2 inches taller then Kenny but he looked so much bigger on the football field.

Ben just has that natural hulking size and old world strength. I knew a plumber like that and he was just freakishly strong and a behemoth. I’m not a small guy, usually the biggest person in the room and I felt tiny next to this guy. Thats Ben.

Clark calls him Mittens but I’m thinking Steelers Nation wont want to adopt that nickname.

Within my close associations, we have been using General Pickett, only for the name and he is becoming the leader (general) of the offense. Well, if he starts going the other direction. it could change to Sgt Pickett. I'm retired military and it just works for me. If one ever comes up that is universally embraced, then I'll go with that. That may not be a good idea. When I was at a Stains game in Cleveland few years ago, they were selling T shirts with Baker F ing Mayfield spelled out throughout the parking lot areas and many were wearing them, kids be damned (but then again, that's stain fans in a nutshell). Based on what happen to Mayfield, I'd prefer this not follow suit. JMO>

Jared (*Josh?) Allen - The General, JA17, The Winter Soldier
Patrick Mahomes - Fatrick, Showtime, Magic Man, Mahomeboy, Grim Reaper...
Joe Burrow - Joe Brrr, Joe Shiesty, Joey Franchise
    Aaron Rodgers - ARod
    Terry Bradshaw - Blonde Bomber
Brett Favre - Country, The Gunslinger
    Johnny Unitas - Johnny U
Bart Starr - got nothin' here...though 'Bart' was actually derived from his middle name: Bryan Bartlett Starr

Kinda partial to 'Fatrick'. That said, no reason to force it. I remember cringing every time I heard Matt Ryan referred to as 'Matty Ice'. Ugh.

Ha, I actually don't mind that. Gives a bit of that underdog vibe.

You're probably right on the rest of SN though, not to mention Pickett himself.

Hahahah. I actually love Mittens as a nickname. Lean into that self-deprecating humor.

A few short weeks ago his nickname could have been “Can-he-pick-it?” As in what you ask yourself about the DB every time the ball leaves KP’s hands.

I’m very happy Mittens has improved in that regard!
