    The candy? Good

The pencil top with the wild hair? Mildly amusing

The mythical creature? Scary, ugly, protects bridges. Not kind or well liked

The online version? See above. Minus the bridge part

If the Steelers back into the playoffs the jets coach should get Tomlin's coach of the year award.

Do all online trolls have opposing views to non-trolls?, can you ever agree with someone that you consider a troll? I don't want to pigeon hole myself.

Potentially, but it's a gray area. SDOT would make a post with one sentence that made sense and the rest was drivel. People see right through that sh!t. My advice? At least be a creative or original troll for f**ks sake.

They have only finished 8-8 three times out of fifteen years, so your statement is false, most teams that start a rookie QB end up with a losing record .

Is a troll (on this site) ever pro-Tomlin? If so could I have an example please. I couldn't help but notice that the two posters most commonly called trolls on this site are not Tomlin supporters.

Trolls can go both ways. (I'm leaving that one alone)

Actually the Steelers would be 8-7 heading into the final week with a chance to finish 9-7 if it wasn't for the 17th week. The extra game this year was an L to the Eagles.

Players on this team, and player from many team, have high respect for Mike Tomlin.
I don't know if he's in the running for coach of the year, maybe.
But the team is coming together, and as mentioned, with a rookie QB at the helm.
    It's not a perfect team by any means;
    - The Defense needs some upgrades
    - Both coordinators are questionable, the OC is definitely and liability.

There is an article about Belichick might be having his best season as a coach, I think Tomlin has outperformed him.

    RE: Wins
Winning ugly is a thing. It does go in the 'W' column.
It shows a lot of belief in themselves, to keep fighting and keep playing hard.
    The decisive wins will come.

Sure he does. I wasn't implying he shouldn't, just replying to the list of teams that you felt had 'quit fighting'. Still not sure your thoughts on why. Your note with Rhule seems a bit hollow to me considering he went 5-11/5-12/1-4 with Carolina before his dismissal this season. That's also the extent of his NFL head coaching experience - he's returning to the collegiate ranks with the Nebraska HC job in 2023 - it's hard to say he 'lost' the team when his record suggests he never really had it. The 5-6 record since his firing would indicate it was a move in the right direction for them.

i am part of the crow eating club, this year. an amazing turn around.

Kenny is proving to be a miracle maker

Offense still BLOWS, but man can that kid get it done in the biggest moments of the game!

    agreed.

can't compete still at the top levels, but moving in the right direction. Kenny plays AMAZING when the chips are down.

Defense has finally lived up to its billing and the coaches actually COACHED, put an amazing D game plan together, against a suck QB the other night, w GREAT SUCCESS.

Use the 6-2 this week too, MT and TA.......hint - the RUN is coming! KEEP BUSH ON THE BENCH!!!

Through 3 Qtrs, I was hating the run defense.
They dared Baltimore to pass and they were selling out on the run.
But the crappy little QB was able to dump passes in the LB's box.

I have always been 50/50 on Bush, knowing he is not worth a high value contract.
The knee injury has haunted him and it appears he will never get over it.
Spillane (how can you not like a LB with that name, the only thing better is one named "Splatkowski" or something) he is way overplaying his skill set.. he's a guy I want to keep on the roster, be it for depth or rotations, like Matt Millen was.

A lot of those wins are ugly for a reason and that reason is usually standing on the sideline(or on the field if you're jacoby jones).

All honorable men have their own standards of integrity. It’s ok tho, most people don’t have integrity these days. You’re not alone

I don't think it's just the knee injury with Bush. He flat out just does not set himself up for making plays. There was one crossing pattern with Andrews where it appeared Bush was in prime position to make a pass defense, possibly even an INT - but he went back on his heels and Andrews zipped right past him and made a big play. Our ILB's simply cannot cover these new prototype TE's. (and stud RB's for that matter)

I can't disagree but I do think it is always in his mind.
We do need to upgrade speed (yes we have some, but game speed is what I am referring to. There is a difference)
I know the play you are referencing, good point.
