I agree it has been blown way out of proportion. Was it a bad move on his part? ABSOLUTELY!! Were they on the field having their huddle, ABSOLUTELY! I have seen a lot more egregious things not called, the NFL lacks consistency and thats what makes these guys look foolish week in and week out.

He is just a young man with something to be excited about for once. Think about it how often does that happen 4th and 27. He thought he could take on whole Panthers team himself.im so proud of him ruining those sacks.lol lol :facepalm:what an idiot. Cam should sack him just for being dumb.

It's not a matter of privacy. It fits under the taunting rules. The taunting rule is stupid, but it is a rule and violating it in that fashion was moronic. Allen did something incredibly stupid and it cost his team.

Why is he proud of that? He had no part in it. He wasn't on the field for those plays. All he did was undermine his teammates' work by staking a stupid penalty.

It's always been a penalty for one player to be in the opposing teams huddle.

Really? If you are wrong and get flagged, then you are ......maybe wrong? It's not a question of what he could do, it's a matter of whether he should. Getting flagged sort of answers the should part. JMO>

This goes all the way back to Brown repeatedly taking personal foul penalties on end zone celebrations and it not being addressed by Tomlin, BECAUSE it kept happening. You can't have two sets of rules in the locker room. If I recall it was reported that Troy had issues with how Tomlin allowed the behavior of the new money players and the separate rules for Ben, etc. Lack of discipline and me over team seems to rear its head on the Steelers. I get Tomlin is considered a players Coach, but I firmly believe he didn't transition from the veteran team he inherited to the young team by reigning in young players and driving a team first mentality at all costs with one set of rules. If he did I truly don't believe the Brown, Bell, Ben meltdown would have happened. Ben having a separate talk radio show calling out his own players but frankly not himself is another example. How is that in any way beneficial to the team?? So fast forward to yesterday and you have stupid ass penalties happening by players that are supposed to be professional. Be like Walter Payton and act like you've been there before!!

The Steelers under Cowher were disciplined & players were team players.

The Steelers under Tomlin are full of drama & players with a "ME" attitude.

One of the most stupid act I’ve ever seen in a football game. Second only to Jakoby Meyer’s lateral.

Agree 100 percent....Johnson came close to getting another shortly after the first one. Just not a very smart player.

I wonder if it's the number 27 that makes them lose their minds.

While I agree.....it's a different time now. You can just look at the little, and big things that have gone on in the NFL ....Hell the world...in the last 10 years that would never have been allowed just 10 years ago...., and Cowher hasn't coached in what 16 years.....So....We really don't know how He would be now.

Are you blocking out Peezy, Jeff Reed, Bam Morris? Cowher was my guy but lets not pretend that he ruled with an iron fist like Darth Hoodie. Ben had several questionable run ins where it was apparent Coach Cowher wasnt fully in control.

You beat me to the punch!

Lest we forget the rap video (in advance of the 94’ AFC Championship Game), which we proceeded to lose…..

It seems that people have forgotten about the shenanigans that happened under Cowher.

Cowher has a reputation for being a strict disciplinarian, which I feel is the result of his yelling (especially in his early years).
