With temperatures forecasted for 8 degrees with 10-20mph winds this could be the coldest game ever at the current stadium and 2nd coldest game ever in Pittsburgh with the only game colder they played in at Cincy. Seeing ticket prices going for $25 in the uppers and 75-100 lowers with under 200 in some of the 200 level. Glad I'll be watching this one at home.

Those ticket prices are unreal. I’d definitely go if I were in Pittsburgh. I’m Canadian, so those temperatures don’t really faze me too much.

Yep same. I'm in the philly area with younger kids plus its my bday, so if I did go to the game might as well stay as I would not be welcome back to my house. I've seen ticket prices that low for other teams and I'm sure there other times in Pittsburgh where they dipped down, but I do not remember. Don't think I've ever paid under 100(starting going to games in mid 2000s) especially when you add all the dumb fees you get charged.

C'mon down, see a professional football game. I am sure the attendance figures
Will be debated for a week.

Many of my PA friends ask if I am ever moving back to Pittsburgh.
That is the reason I will not.

I thought i had seen colder, but it appears not.
In the old days the playoffs were underway, and we weren't in any (50 - 60)
The 60's weren't any better, this was the last week of the season (60-70)
We spent a lot of time in post season during the 70's...

8 frigging degrees... there should be a law against that stuff and the wind whipping off those rivers... yikes.
    I'm staying home.

Christ, you're up there with those crazy Green Bay fans.
I once looked up from the field mid-blizzard with the temp negative something, and there sat a section of good old boys totally shirtless and only covered with paint.
I love my teams BUT! lol.....

Ha, I’d love to, but family plans won’t allow it. I’ve actually been to several games in Pittsburgh before…. And we have professional football up here too ya know. ;)

Move the game to Indy and I will go with the closed roof and 76 degree temps. Probably be more Steelers fans there then Acrifozenturf Field on XMAS eve.8-):worried:

I walked outside in Chicago when it was 25 below

I took a deep breath of fresh air

    My nostrils froze shut

    My car was dead

I turned around and went back inside

I sold this game before the start of the season luckily didn't make a cent actually lost like $10 a ticket to move them.
    Glad I did.

But, I sold them more of the fact that it was December 24th Christmas eve and I have an 11 year old and 9 year old.

But now that its going to be super cold..... glad that I sold them even more now.

I was at that AFC Championship game in against Jets in 2011. That was a chilly one.

I didn't go to that AFC Championship game against the Pats.. but my buddy said his beer froze it was that cold.....

Well. if a seller is willing to come down to $25, maybe they should go down to $1 in the spirit of giving for this one game. Maybe some poor dude will go to his first game.

Games like this are an advantage to having club seats

    Stay warm until kickoff

    Freeze

    Stay warm at half time

    Freeze

Stay warm while traffic clears out

Good. My local ski resort should have plenty of snow ready.

Well not all of us a rich.... lol

I had to laugh I went into the club seats once this season and literally saw a teenage kid sleeping on the couches this season during the game.

I'm like if I was your Dad and spent $250-$275 on your ticket to sleep on a public couch during a Steelers game I would dis-own you from my family.

BTW I hope that wasn't your kid sleeping on the couch in the Club this year...

But if it was smack him...

If it’s bad weather there are people who watch the whole game standing at the bar

It’s the holidays. I got better things to do than watch Tomlin chase mediocrity in person.

I wonder how this is going to affect Kenny's small hands? Surely they will shrivel a bit and be even smaller. I'd start Mitch for this reason.

My wife and I were at the 12/31/17 game when it was 11 degrees at kickoff. After that game, my wife left me for a Miami Dolphins fan. (Jk :lolol:)

If I was younger maybe I would brave it but being in my 50's now, no way! It's going to be cold down here in South Florida on Saturday, high of 58 and low of 44. I know I know, poor me.

You Canadians need to keep your cold air up there where it belongs! It's bad enough for us Northeasterners, but are you trying to kill our poor Southerners? They can't handle teen temperatures in Alabama. And none of us can do the math to figure out what it is in your goofy Celcius scale (yeah, yeah, I know...we're the ones who are goofy since everyone else uses C but us F' ed up Americans)
