I'll give you that statement since I've sadly watched it up close with the Philly Eagles. Yet I remember very well the tons of disgruntled Eagle fans when "The Hurt" was selected in the draft.

Were on a small roll beating teams just like us, average. Lets see how they fare against the purple crows.

I feel the offense is improving finally finding a power running attack. But when you play against the upper tier you best be able to score and go toe to toe. They only have reached the 30 mark once.

Pickett's progression is the most important to take from this season. He has which I wanted to see.

The team still has several needs after this season is over. High draft pick or not.

    believe in what, Santa?

We are still stuck with Tomlin - he will never achieve greatness, only good. We may win 2 or 3 more this year, maybe. not too bad with a Rook QB and brand new OLINE and no TJ for half a year and half a TJ for the other half. Bush sucks. 3 or 4 new starters on D next year.

    Coaching is below the line.

That made me laugh hard. I don't know why you think people have you on ignore. Your not abrasive and you are a positive Steeler fan. I'm thinking of putting you on ignore just to stay current with the others.;)

Bizarro World involves the Jets finishing 9-8, the least likely thing to happen. Pats easily could go 9-8 with their schedule. Need Chargers 9-8 too which is asking a lot.

If we go 10-7, it will probably turn out our losing to the Jets broke the season.

Key games this week assuming we win our game.

    Jets must lose to Buffalo.

    Chargers lose to Miami.

I think it is the old Days of Thunder Cole Trickle thing......

It is not that our offensive line is getting better, it is because everybody else's defensive lines are getting worse. I believe I heard in the Falcons game that the Steelers front 5 have started every game this year.

What’s REALLY needed to get better is improvement. If we improve enough to get to a winning record by the end of this season, it will mean that the play of many players has improved enough to help us win games. Some of those players will be young players that can be a foundation for the future (including our young QB). I want players on the roster NOW to improve more than I want to move up a few spots to maybe get a different, slightly higher rated player who has never played in the NFL.

This team isn't making the playoffs. The losses to the Jets, Patriots, and Dolphins took care of that. Win even one of those and they would have had a real shot, but it didn't happen.

That said, I don't buy the idea that winning games has no value. Growth by individual players, especially the offense, is important. That is going to lead to more victories. Having a strong finish to this season to build on for next year helps. Culture matters. That is why some teams never win, because they don't have that. We don't really want to see the Steelers start to feel like that, do we?

Also, it's just more fun to watch them win. That matters, too.

The Jets are the big obstacle. Based on opponents...my prediction for the teams vying for the 7 spot: Pats 6-6 to 8-9. LAC 6-6 to 9-8. Browns 5-7 to 6-10. Jets 7-5 to 9-8. Steelers have to win out or need the Jets to go 8-9. Then we can reprise our trip to KC! LOL!

They aren't going to tank, so all this talk about a high draft pick is a moot point.

With each and every win I can hear these pessimistic fans heads explode just a little bit more. You would think there would be some therapy in reminding them that Brady was drafted in the 6th round but they still are adamant that the only path to a Superbowl victory is to acquire that #1 overall pick. Nothing else will suffice. SDOT is their Captain.

I bet some of these so called Steelers fans wants the team to lose, because they hate Tomlin, and they want to be right with I told you so.

I can't stand Tomlin either for the most part but if he gets this team to the play offs it will be one of his best coaching seasons ever. Some people just can't admit success no matter what.

Not a Tomlin guy here either but if they can finish 10-7 after being 3-7, then Tomlin would have to get strong consideration for coach of the year.

I'd say 9-8 should be a strong consideration.
