I'll give credit where credit is due. Minor blunders but that 1st half was exceptional.

Agree, but I still don’t think he’s our answer and my fear is we keep him.

Definitely doesn’t look like he’s the answer. Things did look promising today though.

Yes our lack of td’s was pissing me off today. Dropped balls, pre-snap penalties and lack of creative playcalling in red zone prevented us from blowing them out early!!

Pre snap penalties....seem automatic as soon as We reach the Redzone.

When is the ineligible down field gonna make its appearance again? Almost replaced the mandatory false start penalty for awhile.

Give him a raise and extend him. Canada is grooming Kenny into a superstar. Why would we want to disrupt that?

He still threw in his beloved jet sweep late in the game for minimal gain.

A good run game the past few weeks has made canada look better, but still a clunky offense.

I think Najee running harder and Kenny playing mistake free football have helped immensely.

The game plan, personnel selection, and overall play calling still stink.

Watching it in the stadium..... i was so frustrated. But I was also frustrated watching how we set up against the run.

But Canada is the worse of us.

Solid first half, Picket missed Muth for a TD

2nd half was bad, sorry. HAVE to get Pickens involved, would need all 22 to determine why he wasn't targeted

He calls plays vs exploiting the match ups, IMO

Canada is NOT the answer unless the question is who should not be OC next year, but like others feel Tomlin is arrogant enough to keep him

Canada gives the Steelers what they need this year with a rookie running back and a poor pass blocking offensive line; a very conservative game plan. I can’t fault him for that.
That this roster, which lacked its best player for many games and has no high draft pick on the Oline is 5-7 is frankly impressive.

Do we think he still is 100% in control?

After the bye there was large change, specifically in the run game.
I'm wondering if Canada has 100% ownership of the offense.

I think some has inserted their ideas a little. Like late last year in the running game there was some power runs called and we're seeing more down blocks and kickouts then I recall early on. Previously, seemed a little more inside zone, no?

Not getting Pickens involved is unacceptable. Shouldn’t have been sweating this game out.

I think Pickens only has two red zone targets all year. That’s poor play calling.

So while this was Canadas best game to date, still needs to do better.

Well, he didn't have to do much. Before today, the bar was set pretty low.

In the Pickens thread there was speculation that they designed the game plan and play calling around the Falcons taking him away. If there is any truth to that I'd question why they thought Sims and Gunner were the way to go instead of hammering the TE's and RB's in the flats and over the middle.

While there has been steady improvement Canda's play calling reminds me too much of BA's . Just some really headscratching play calls.

I'm don't normally call for position coaches heads to roll mid-season but Jerry O needs to go and Tomlin needs to articulate his philosophy for his inside linebackers. They continue to guess the gaps, get swallowed up by blocks they run into and allow cut back runs to gouge out big gains. If Mack and Bush would track the ball carrier and explode towards them its a minimal gain but no they just don't do it. Also not a huge fan of that 2 DLmen sub package. It leaves too many holes for rb's especially if your LB's get sucked up into blocks.

Amazing how getting 19 points against a crappy defense makes us all feel like the OC had his best game of his career.

Very true. Just looking for some bright spots in what's been a otherwise bad and embarrassing season up to this point. It is good to see fight in the team.

Really? The jet sweep to Sims late in the 4th quarter went for 7 yards. I’ll take a 7 yard run all day.
