I know it is a very small sample size, but Pickens seems to be one of those receivers who can be open even if he isn't. Some guys you can just force feed them the ball, as long as it is within reach they will find a way to go and get it. How is he not getting double digit targets every game?

So far.....I would have to say I agree. I said if I was the Qb I'd probably throw 5 picks a game from targeting Him so dang much. LoL

This kid is special. Big, tough, great athleticism and hands. Total competitor as well and has swagger. He's gonna be a Pro Bowler as long as we can get a coordinator that knows how to use him properly

What's crazy is Tomlin said to Pickett that he can't just stare down Pickens. He is a beast who just makes plays! And I believe he hasn't been a part of an interception yet. I understand you should not be staring down a receiver but this kid will fight for the ball unlike Johnson or Claypool.

He needs more opportunity's, not less.

Bingo! If you look at some of Pickett’s INTs, the receiver (mostly Claypool and Johnson) were not aggressive enough in coming back for the ball. Hines was a master at tracking the ball and positioning himself so as to obtain leverage over the defender. It’s like some of our receivers sit back and nonchalantly wait for the ball to come to them, like they’re playing catch. Again it goes back to football IQ. I believe Pickens has a ton of it. Just watch how he gets positional leverage against the DB and aggressively tracks the ball.

Matt Canada is a horrible OC. However Pickett has got to stop staring at his receivers. He is the one throwing all those picks. If he cannot learn to look at other options then hes never going to be the QB we need. He draws DBs to the ball with his eyes. Right now he's an interception machine. Probably not unheard of for a rookie. I am hoping to see some growth in this game.
