    1. The Steelers won't be winless this season.
    2. George Pickens looks like he's already our WR1

    What else am I forgetting?

Warren runs hard and looks pretty tough to bring down.

Looks like a solid back , now if only Najee finds his form or gets healthy.

The young corner off the practice squad at least could stay with his man that's at least something.

I think Pickett will work out and develop into a good QB . YAH GOTTA LOVE THE FIGHT IN HIM

Pickett to Pickens will be fun to watch. The in-between moments not so much fun.

    1) It can’t get worse

    2) Pickett, Pickens, Friermuth(sp), Mincah, Jack, Warren, Watt when there. Good still young core… And a few more, but you get the point.

    3) I don’t care that people say injuries are not an excuse - to me they are. I honestly would rest Cam A LOT until the bye week before he’s worn out. This stretch until then is over if you are realistic. Get right and meaningful snaps for the kids and re-focus for the 2nd half and build a solid foundation for next season. We are nowhere near contending for anything good this year.

    4) We have a new GM that hopefully won’t whiff on round 1 and 2 draft pics as much as Colbert has.

This is an outcome of a “confluence” of events.

    1) Whiffing on Jarvis Jones, Artie Burns, Devin Bush and reaching for Edmunds, Claypool and possibly Harris. You can add in the tragic loss of Shazier. - That is a lot of first rounders that are gone or not living up to potential that should still be core contributors if the stars and moon aligned correctly. And if you go back even further there are still just as many 1st and 2nd round mishaps as there are gold stars.

    2) The seeming philosophy of building this tree from the top down. Mostly drafting skill positions much more than the trenches. - As much as the NFL changes, I think the Parcells 1st round doctrine of you either draft a QB, guys who protect the QB, or guys that sack the other QB and build that foundation before anything else.

    3) Relying too heavily of building through the draft. - I think the Mincah trade should guide them toward known commodities much more going forward. Or how they operate in the draft. I’d say every year package round 4-7 to sell to another team to move up higher in the 4th and then scout heavily in the undrafted guys for what you take gambles at that deep in the draft anyway. Plenty of talent in there that doesn’t cost draft capital.

Go ahead and roast me and my armchair GM’ing. I’m happily awaiting it.

With a probable top 5 pick at least, the Steelers have to have an early 1970's type of draft. Bryce Young will probably go first and if we are picking #2 overall we need to make a team pay a king's ransom for Stroud.

I, for one, appreciate his optimism :) I agree with most of these EXCEPT whoever said it can't get worse ...lol It DEFINITELY can - and may.

I agree with much of what you are saying especially when it comes to how many draft picks we have missed on. If we are drafting high the next few years we need to turn that trend around and quickly.

I just don’t see it Knox unless he is leaving on his own terms. Art 3 is clueless and at the end of the day the buck stops with him.

no reason to be optimistic. This isn't an in season fix. This will take several years to fix. Everyone wanted Ben gone... He carried Tomlin. He took this exact team to the playoffs. We will be lucky to win 4 games with our schedule. Najee has turned out to be a bust.

I would say if watt can return to good form and not pile up injuries but that remains to be seen. I also think muth could be top notch but he's been concussed a couple times already. Fitzpatrick is solid.
