Much of the credit for the 2019 season was due to the defense as well. However, team did not have a QB that was capable enough of winning games. Takes two to tango there.

However, one of the two in that pairing is the greater of the two.

People need to let this go. Keep in mind that 50% of the defensive payroll belongs to 3 players. 25% belongs to 1, who is on IR.

That doesn’t mitigate the point at all. Every team pays their studs. 50% going to 27% of the players doesn’t seem like an outlier.

Chris Hoke replaced Hampton at nose tackle. Von Olhoffen also played some on the nose, but he was a starting defensive end on that team.

Your overall point is correct. Their depth is lacking. They are getting no production from Watt's replacements. The secondary lacks the depth to cover for losing four of their top six guys. I'm not sure how many teams could weather that, but they clearly have no viable option behind Edmunds.

I could have sworn Kimo played NT in 04....but yeah, Hoke did play NT when Hampton was out in the 00's decade.

I stayed until the last tick of the clock and saw Franco make the catch

I have never considered leaving early

I looked it up just to be sure my memory wasn't playing tricks on me. Von Oehlhoffen played some on the nose, too, but Hoke started 10 games at nose tackle in '04.

Fixed it. This lies at the feet of the the general manager. head coach as well as scouting.

    Add the coordinators as well.

I understand their are not a lot of back ups that are All Pro, but it seems that their is a lack of development though.

Right? That's the way I remember it also. Troy was amazing but he definitely wasn't a one man show the way TJ appears to be.
