I think age and injuries are catching up with Tyson.

I'm not sure this will make our run d any better though.

Unfortunately Alualu has been getting buried. I feel he's done. I like Adams.

Because the Steelers don't draft linemen in the early rounds.

Because the Steelers draft late in the rounds and the best DL are long gone

This next draft may be different but I would expect ILB or OL to be higher priority

Tomlin Critics: You lost two in a row. Make changes!

    Tomlin makes a change.

Tomlin Critics: Not that one. Change something else!

In all seriousness, I get the frustration. Most critics weren't going to be happy unless Canada was fired and Pickett was starting Sunday. Unfortunately, neither of those things is going to happen.

The worst part of that team Thursday against the Browns was the defense. Witherspoon deserved to be benched, but he's out with an injury anyway. They can't bench Bush because Spillane is even worse. They don't have anybody to replace Reed until Watt returns. Of all the guys not playing well, Alualu was the only one with a viable option behind him.

I'm not sure Robinson is ready; however, Robinson may make it less likely they draft an ILB next offseason if they have that much faith in him.

I like the idea of getting a corner. But the steelers success with drafting corners really scares me.

Yup. It doesn't help that Reed hasn't been what they hoped and Jones is playing like what he is, a guy they just grabbed off the scrap heap.

The three games so far this season just help prove something we should already know. Watt is the most impactful defensive player in the game and among the top five or 10 players in the NFL.

Perhaps this is the homer in me with tons of bias, but I'm convinced that Watt is the most important player in football. The fact we haven't won a game when he's not in the lineup proves how valuable he is. If he's not the most important, he's top 3.

well he was DPOY and should have been the last 2 years. you don't just replace that and especially on a short week. the fact that highsmith is leading the league in sacks and playing so well really hurts the team with a what could have or what would have been. we may get one of the two new OLB'ers more up to speed by Sunday, but that wasn't going to happen on the short week. as for alualu, MT said adams was playing better, very simple. alualu is still a good guy to have as a backup. loudermilk sitting every week is a head scratcher too.

minkah being out will hurt as well. so will witherspoon. that makes everything off for this defense with those 3 out right now, putting more pressure on the ILB'er group.

If an ILBer they might not have to trade up to #10 and give away picks

I feel that they need a stud left tackle. I had hope for Moore but he just isn't the answer. Muth was helping him fend off Garrett against the clowns most of the game. He had steady improvement last season and I thought he would keep the arrow pointing up. Well it's in the red now.

Agreed, but that can't make us stay away from them, and I believe CB is the second hardest position to grade, or decide on next to Qb.
