Just a question…was the testing done after he was injured? The reason I ask is, if that’s the case, could it have been a steroid of some type to aid in his healing?

From what I hear, his suspension starts when he comes off IR, which means he won't see the field until week 9 ,,(if he's still on the team)

If his suspension starts Thursday, he may be out 3 Paychecks, but the Steelers will probably be out Zero Play-time.

I have no problem with this.

I'm not sure where you heard that, but I don't think it is correct. Multiple reports have already been posted on the thread that he will serve the suspension while he is on IR. He can't play anyway, but he won't get paid for those three games. I believe that is how the league has handled it in the past, too.

The best player is an available player if you are not available you are of no use to the team.

I certainly have more concerns about Kazee now, but I doubt the actual suspension costs him any more time than he would have been out with the injury, anyway.

Hopefully, he can get his act together, for his own sake and for that of the team. He could definitely still help the Steelers later this season.

I know he's not allowed to practice while on IR but I think he'll be allowed to practice while under suspension after the Jets game. he just won't be allowed to play.

Since it'll be 6 actual weeks between the injury and coming off IR he wasn't going to be ready for the Bills game anyway. All this suspension means is that we don't have to pay him for 3 weeks when he wasn't going to play anyway.

I'm thinking Khan slipped a pill in his drink to save salary cap space. What a brilliant move! Now to slip something into TJ's Subway sandwich to save even more cap space.

I’m sure you’re being facetious. But I don’t think Kazee’s suspension gives the team any cap relief. It’s basically like a fine. Kazee loses the money, but the Steelers don’t get it instead. At one time I thought $ like this went to the league and they donated it to charity. Maybe, someone here knows for sure.

If he’s got a prescription from a doctor as part of a treatment, then he’s fine. If he got his ‘help’ on the black market, then he’s not.
