I’m certain in his heart of hearts Ben still thinks he can play. Or at least he did back in January. If Dallas came to him, he’d be tempted. But he has to know he’s not in any way prepared to start over from scratch right now.

This stupidity just makes me less inclined to even read media stories. I enjoy a couple of steeler You Tube channels. Because of this I get a boatload coming onto my feed page. The Ben Headline was there, but also a title that said this, Tomlin names Pickett to start against Pat's, Mason traded to Dallas. The actual video was commentary on why he should start and why MR should be traded. The title was not only misleading, it was an outright lie. Why would i..or anyone sub to someone like that?

I'm not sure Ben takes care of his body enough to become a Fitzpatrick type QB who can just jump in for plug and play purposes.

His heart probably says yes but his gut says Cheeseburgers.

 

Lol. This is according to a betting site which puts him at 50-1 to be the next Cowboys QB. Philip Rivers is also 50-1, and Andrew Luck is 66-1.

 

I'm sure Ben has bettor odds of having to come back to the Steelers with this o line.

You make it sound like he's used to showing up for the season in shape. He was on the same offseason plan as Big Snack.

I dont see this happening, but couldn't care less if he did play for another team. The steelers no longer wanted him as their qb. If he wanted to continue playing by all means have at it. I don't think he's a superbowl winning qb any longer, but I do know we would not have given the ball back to the bengals late in the 4th qtr if he was the qb. He just had a knack for end of game situations.

 

Ben's is the only jersey I have left. Thankfully, I was informed he retired when I wore it around town last Sunday. People really came up to me and asked if I know he no longer plays.

I've been a fan of Ben his entire career. I hate the Cowboys with a passion. But if Ben came in and played there I would pull for him/them.

That being said I'm not buying it. Ben seems pretty content with being retired
