he didn't get acknowledged for his hustle, but look at #30 Warren hustle down the field to block for Freiermuth on this catch in OT. Warren was near the LOS when Mitch started the throw yet out of nowhere he appears downfield to block for #88. Luv the kid.

That throw by Mitch was a picture perfect as it gets.

He throws off his back foot....BUT if that's Ben, he is on his ass. I am not quite ready to join the Mitch bashing yet. Yes, he has some issues but the man can at least scramble.

Flores needs to be on the field, not alone in a booth.

That was my thought on the play. He threw off his back foot and as soon as he let it go I thought it was getting picked. The outcome was great, but it's hard to give him too much credit when I felt like it was a bad throw. Like you said at least he's mobile. I'm not quitting on him yet, but I also think I have seen enough that I am ready for the Kenny Pickett era to begin.

Do you say that because we need cheerleaders? That’s all he would be to Muth on the field.

I too was impressed by Trub on that play. He kept his cool after realizing it was a free play and took a shot deep.

I think people are expecting Trub or Pickett to be able to match what Ben delivered from 2004-2019 - that ain't gonna happen. Trub will certainly never make the HoF, and what are the chances of Steelers drafting two HoF QBs back to back?

I think if Trub or Pickett match what Ben did in 2021, we should be happy.

He's not the DC, or making the calls, Austin is on the sideline.

I agree! Why are people dumping on poor Trub, then? We should be happy he made the throw in OT.

Nope, I never did see Ben throw a TD to himself... he always needed a WR to catch the passes.

The ball probably would already be gone ....if it was Ben. He was the 1st to know if You jumped offsides.

I seen enough in Chicago....and prayed I was wrong because it seems our Coach loves Him. .....So I would need to be wrong for us to win, or I guess we could hope for 7 sacks, 5 forced turnovers, a turnover on downs( so 6 turnovers), a blocked field goal, a pick 6, and the other teams long snapper gets hurt every game.

Many times he heard the play blown dead immediately as well. Told my son during that play that if it were Ben the whistle probably would have killed the play. Seen it way too many times.

You felt like that was a bad throw? When someone like Mahomes throws a dart like that downfield off script, and off his back foot, he’s praised for his arm talent and improvisation ability. But for Mitch it was a bad throw? I’m not terribly happy with Mitch’s Tyrod Taylor impersonation for 69+ minutes, but that play was the difference between 1-0 and 0-0-1. I give him credit for making that play, and it gives me hope that we’ll continue to win games with Mitch at the helm, especially if he’s allowed to make a few off script plays when the called play isn’t there.
