This is not my idea and it's just something to goof around with until Saturday night. Guys I golf with are all Eagle fans. This morning after golfing they made the strangest season bet I ever heard of. 7 of them put 20 bucks in a kitty. Then they wrote down 5 guaranteed (according to them) loses their eagles would have. (none took the Steelers) Should only one get it right that's 140 bucks to the winner.

Needless to say on ride home it got me thinking. Although I think it's the oddest betting I've ever heard of I'm trying it with my family members. I really hope I lose this bet big time!!!!

    I took: Bengals Sept. 11 / Bills Oct. 9th / Dolphins Oct. 23rd / Eagles Oct. 30 / Ravens Jan. 1st

They had to pick one home loss in their bet. We did not require that for the Steelers.

@Eagles is a definite loss. It doesn't matter how good the Steelers are... or how bad the Eagles are. Eagles will win. Steelers haven't won in Philly since the 1960's. It's a curse.

@Raiders is almost as bad. Steelers haven't won @Raiders since 1995.

Surely we should be hoping to beat the Dolphins? I know they have made improvements but their OLine is a joke, Steelers front should give Tua a difficult time.

I had a look through the Steelers schedule, no real gimmes, and the first few weeks is bound to be up and down on offence in particular with all the new pieces.

It's kind of a weird phenomenon, but hardcto bet against. Do you remember there was a time the original Browns had never won in 3 rivers. The owner actually brought dirt from Cleveland and dumped it in the stadium. Lol. Should have been fined for littering.

    I agree

Steelers can never win in Philly. Don't know what it is.

They also can't win in Chicago either. They also were really bad in Oakland when the Raiders played there.

Maybe Las Vegas will be better IDK

I think the Opener against the Bengals is good choice.

The same with Buffalo. We kind of got lucky last year in Buffalo beating them in the opening week.

Miami doesn't scare , me so much. Steelers have actually played generally well in Florida over the years. California is their bugga boo.

Buccaneers at home won't be easy. Even if Tom Brady is 117, its still Tom and we know what he has done to us 90% of his career, and that is kick our butts.

Bengals at home could be another Loss

    Could lose in Ravens once.

There will probably be others they should of been wins that won't be.

Does the fact the Raiders are a home game for the Steelers affect your thought

    Show some respect.
Use "the Browns" instead of "dirt". :bscow:

You need to re-read my post. I didn't say anything about the Steelers losing to the Raiders this year. Eagles, yes... it's a loss. I was just proclaiming the fact that Steelers haven't won @Raiders since 1995.

I forgot about the Bears. Steelers haven't won at Chicago since 1995. There's something special about that '95 team. Even though the season ended in heartbreak... Steelers whipped up on some good teams that year and were road warriors.

News for yall. We're beating the Bengals game 1.

Bengals are hinting that Joe Burrow will not play one Preseason game snap this year. Our defense is going to get after him early and often.

Also, we're beating the Bills on the road. Why? Cause my son and I are driving 9 hours to be there. Steelers are sleepers this season but gonna surprise a bunch of doubters.

    Steelers won a Super Bowl

    Pirates won a World Series

A lot of us partied in 1979

Or so I heard the 70’s are a little fuzzy for me

More of those 17 wins should have been blowouts. The team is obviously not any good.
