Interesting take you have there. I am not a fan of any QB we have at the moment but if Tomlin did something like forcing Rudolph to start without our top guns I'd be on the side of wanting him out of Pittsburgh. I really doubt he'd be that unfair. He sure the hell can't think Trub is that much better.

Question: Who has the strongest arm for downfield passes?? Trub, Mason or Pickett. I don't know but I'd say Mason. I'm not talking about being accurate just arm strength.

I guess, we won't see a quarterback, throwing the football ... in a barrel (for accuracy) ... this camp ... lol

Remember when Mason came out of college the book on him was that he didn't have the best arm strength, but he had the best deep ball in his draft class.

Mason needs to get some Air under his Balls to go deep. I guess you could say his Balls lack Zip.

Jacksonville traded for Josh Dobbs after injuries at the QB position, Mason is better than the backup QBs on some teams.

He has been more than that in the NFL. Rudolph has not.

Rudolph throws a nice deep ball, but that is more about accuracy and touch, not arm strength. His lack of arm strength shows up more on deep outs and intermediate throws.

Trubisky had accuracy issues on deep throws in Chicago, but that wasn't necessarily a matter of arm strength.

Yea, he's been a high draft pick and cut to become a serviceable backup. Now getting outplayed by the guy that you say has not. At least so far.

If MR has the strongest arm on the the team, then I'll be doing a Triple Gainer off of the 9th street bridge.

Man these QBs are rough. Fantasy wise I believe these guys are the lowest ranked (amongst starters) Only Geno Smith for Seattle is lower in some rankings.

They aren't playing games yet. I guess you are one of those people overrating early-camp practice statistics.

I know you like posting misleading half-answers and acting as if you have struck some great point, but Trubisky has the better resume and it isn't close. He has started 50 games in the NFL. Rudolph has 10. Trubisky has a higher completion percentage, higher average yards per attempt, and lower interception percentage. Rudolph does have a slightly-higher touchdown percentage. Trubisky has the higher career quarterback rating, and of course, a huge advantage in total yards and touchdowns.

Trubisky also started 14 games for a playoff team and went to the Pro Bowl in 2018. Rudolph's career highlight was starting eight games in 2019. Keep in mind that even when he returned from injury, he was unable to take the starting job away from Duck Hodges.

Keep in mind that Trubisky is a threat as a runner. Despite a couple of decent runs last season, Rudolph really isn't.

You really think a couple of weeks in practice in a situation where Rudolph had a huge head start in the system outweighs all of that? You're funny.

I have to agree. Only person I'm really looking at these camp stats is Pickett. I just want to weigh week to week stats to see how he's growing. Stats in camp tell some of the plot, but not the entire novel. It's also small things IE Pickett not lining up correctly today. I think I'm kinda done paying attention to camp on a daily basis and mostly wants to see preseason games to judge on my own. As for Mitch and Mason, it's Mitch and it's not even close.

Another thing, for a guy that gets on me about showing stats, you seem to like to use them. Hmmmm. :hmm::cool:

Yet the Steelers signed Trubisky and drafted Pickett in the first round rather than turn the team over to Rudolph. You are like the loser in a sword fight who doesn't realize he has been cut in half yet.

I use statistics from actual games all the time. You do realize they matter quite a bit more than unofficial stats from practices in July, right?
