If I'm an owner and I have to include that in a contractual basis then there's no way I'm signing the player for that much money. It should be expected. That comes down to about 40 minutes a day for film study. Is that really necessary to include in a 2.25 Million per game check contract?

I don't know about Bradshaw, but I heard today from Ramon Foster that none of the Steelers Qbs He was ever around would have needed this....because they all watched plenty of game tape.
So them putting that in there for Kyler means He probably doesn't.

Imagine how great Ben could have been if he had worked hard and studied

You remember when Ben tried to start a second career as a hood ornament? One would assume if you are the million dollar QB of a pro football team ad you don't know how to ride a motorcycle that you should probably learn that skill and wear a helmet as well. However this was not apparent to him at the time.

It doesn't matter how long You ride a motorcycle, or Your experience....if someone pulls out, or runs into You though.

Did Ramon happen to say what type of tape he was watching? I've had this discussion with board members not just about breaking down tape but what the focus is when practicing. If Ben is just looking at his own tape and looking at mistakes that only goes so far. I have a strong suspicion that breaking down the weekly opponents tendencies ranks very low on their list.

My uncle has literally had his life saved by a helmet more times than can be counted but still when he was out for a visit and found out there is no helmet law in North Dakota he took his off.

I don't know about Ben doing that but I guarantee that it's extremely low on MT's list. It's not even on his "we do what we do" radar.

if he's doing this study at home how do they monitor that he's actually doing it? He could be doing any number of things while that plays in the background. Another poster already stated if you have to include this in a contract then that player is not worth that much money.

He said all the Steelers Qb He's been around never had a problem with watching tape.
The only people I've ever heard say differently ....are fans.

lol That's one of those no specific comments that covers everything but says nothing. Example: I've never been charged with a felony. So you are saying you never committed a felony? No I said I have never been charged with a felony.

They weren't doing that with AB cause they didn't even want to outright cut him. They wanted compensation for him.
