    Just saw this, he passed last night. Always put in a great performance. I cringe at the sight of Kathy Bates and a sledgehammer. I always thought they killed him off way too soon in the Godfather - he really added charisma to every scene he was in. Apparently his character had a bigger role in the novel.

    Sorry to see you go Jimmy - I was a big fan. RIP.

    Props to Brian's Song, Rollarball and A Bridge to far.

    Not sure about this but I think they actually wanted him to play Pacino's part in the Godfather??????
