That is a love thought, buy I really like enjoy the Browns being forced to pay his salary while on the exempt list fir 2 years, then him being suspended the third and fourth year as the lawsuits escalate. Something fitting and delicious thinking the Browns will pay the entire contracexwith no services lol. Not going to happen, but the thought.

He’s looking at a year suspension. NFLPA would probably appeal, so it doesn’t mean he won’t play at all this season, could get some games in until the appeal is heard.

Hopefully they get it all settled before the season starts, that would be two years away from the game. No telling how that would affect him when he steps on the filed again. Two years is a long time to be away from the NFL.

Crazy, I don't see how the league can move on this until some of these cases start getting decided in court or out of court. What does the league do if they hand down a suspension this month, and then in July 6 more women come forward?

I have no idea if the league has something like Double Jeopardy. Could the league just keep adding time to his original suspension as things came out, or each case was decided? Like, adding extra games to the original 1 year suspension where in court it came out that there was an actual physical assault on the therapist.

There should be no rush to judgement on this. Put Watson on the Commissioner exempt list and then just wait it out. This is not the NFL's problem this is the Brown's problem for signing Watson to that insane contract.

He will be stepping on the field across from (potentially) peak level TJ Watt.

All cases except 4 have now been settled out of court.

The NFL now should be getting closer tp being able to move forward with their Suspension process.

I think Watson is going to need every penny of his contract. 20 cases (so far) settled out of court? New millionaires! (The lawyer(s), not the women)

The rumored original payout was 100,000 each when he was close to going to the Dolphins. There were a couple of hold outs and he said all or none. The price likely went up a bit, will the attorney fees come on contingency or paid by the defense? Probably with all the nta's we will never know

You mentioned previously wonderingbif the league could do further penalties. The way they worded a statement yesterday the answer is yes. Have no idea if they approached Watson legal team and were working on some deal..if that's even possible. The original penalties, if any, will come from an arbiter, a retired female federal judge. If he appeals it goes straight to Goodell. If some deal was in the works I can imagine them strongly suggesting he settle and take the judgment and if nothing else comes up they just move on.

I think the nfl came to Watson and told him to do that. He could've been settled long time ago.

I would assume the 4 holdouts are the women that want the millions.

The women that had direct physical contact with his PeeWee.

Watson stuck it where he wanted to and the women freaked out and left. I don't think anyone was happy with the ending.

Telling you they are going to hit him with two because of the way the Browns structured his contract.

Definitely won’t be less then a year.

I think he'll end up getting 1.5 years, which is in total 2.5 years out of football. He's young enough to potentially play at a high level again, but I really doubt that he will. That will be a long time without playing live snaps and it may not be until the 2024 season before he even finds his groove, and by then the Browns will likely be already moving on from him.

I don't get it ... did he do something ... maybe? ... Probably?

But how can NFL punish him if no court has found him guilty of anything? They decided not to even pursue the case right?

I think that is the most problematic thing about the NFL discipline policy. NFL can get it wrong just because any ol headline is in the news about a player.

His Cleveland contract would probably prevent that because of potential injury
