LoL. I just knew someone was going 2 say that. LoL.
I'm serious though....that woman could cook.
Also You need 2 try it....the cheese one is My favorite, but I like most I've eaten.
I knew a fellow that use 2 have a barbecue joint up from where I live(closed down..His wife left him) ,and He made his Crawfish pie like fruit pies you get at McDonald's. They were pretty good also, but not as good as My old lady's I was talking about.

When I was a kid, my buddy and I took an old hamster cage, removed the door and tied a sponge soaked in cod liver oil to the San Diego river bed and threw it in a pond. We ended up catching 100 big crawdads. We did a crawdad boil at his house. They were very tasty but, his mother was less than pleased with us.......

LoL. We make our traps also, but not of a hamster cage. That was pretty good ingenuity. I give it a thumbs up:thumbs_up:

Well, when you're 12 years old..........
It started out just trying to catch crawdads for bass bait.

Anchovies are good in small doses. Very salty!
They're better as live bait though.

Cool, Live Action as Turtleman would say.

We have a pond and when we were younger we would catch frogs and have a race to see which one could make it across it successfully.
Cruel in a way i know. We also would catch shiners and thump them in the head so they would do the crazy swim and watch them as JAWS attacked.
Crueller i'm hungry, crueler yet we would chum the pond with dog food and shoot carp as they feasted then bury them under our pot plants.

One boat I worked on for a few years had 3 bait tanks. we always kept one as an aquarium and had tropicals that we collected. One year, we put in a leatherback grouper. He became a pet. We named him Larry and he would eat out of your hand. We had him for almost 9 months until, one night, I asked the owner what he wanted for dinner. He looked in the tank and said, "grouper". Not only did I have to gaff Larry out of the tank, I had to filet and cook him! Cruel!

I wouldn't have done it. I'm not against hunting, or fishing....believe Me.....Hell I do it, or have done it, but I can't eat something I've become attached 2, or treated like a pet. I've had a few calves I've had 2 bottle feed before, and in No way was I going 2 allow them 2 be taken 2 the slaughter house.

It was either Larry, or my job. I chose my job.
Karma got him though. A few years later, he got busted for illegal collecting and importing tropical fish from Mexico. Cost him a bundle!

When I was about 10-12 I told my mother I was thinking about putting a cow (steer, I didn’t know) in our barn and I was going to pen feed it so we could have the best beef.

She immediately started yelling no no no you will have a 1200 pound pet

Since then I’ve taken in 13 dogs, 6 cats (I don’t even like cats) 4 chickens

I even had a groundhog following me around for a while but that was his idea not mine
